Just returned from our private tour of Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand and we have nothing but good to report about Asia Pioneer Travel. Although we read other reviews prior to booking, it is always concerning to send money half way around the world, when you have never dealt with this travel Agency. I can assure you that if you are considering such a trip, you can have every confidence in Asia Pioneer.
We toured for 30 days, 95% private with a couple of group tours thrown in. The itinerary included 7 internal flights with multiple local guides. The whole trip was flawless. Driver and guide were always at the airports upon our arrival and were always on time for our daily tours.
We were assigned to Stella who helped us arrange our holiday. She listened to what was important to us and created an itinerary that was well balanced with touring and rest time. We choose to use Boutique style hotels with 4 or 5 stars. We upgraded a couple based upon our own reviews but I have to say that these hotels were among the best that we have ever stayed at. From cleanliness to facilities, these were all first class hotels. But what really set them apart was the level of customer service, something that we have never encountered before! It has truly set a new standard for us.
During the vacation, Stella was always available although we only required her assistance with one small issue. I was able to reach her immediately by text and the problem was corrected within minutes!
It is also apparent that Asia Pioneer can work with individuals and groups with a variety of budgets. They can create a tour that will meet your requirements while staying within the budget that you have set. Our tour included all breakfasts and most lunches and left dinner to our discretion. At the end of the tour, there were no hidden extra costs that were presented to us, which we appreciated.
In addition, the standard of the selected tours is high. As an example, our tour included a day at an Elephant Sanctuary in Thailand. It is only when you get to Thailand that you realize that there are many available options for such a tour. Some of a high standard (particularly related to animal conditions), some not so much. We found out by some research that we had been booked into the most ethical sanctuary, which coincidentally had the highest cost. Yes, it was included in the package price and we obviously paid for it, but Asia Pioneer did not compromise standards to make the package price more attractive.
In summary, Asia Pioneer is a reputable, Travel Agency with significant knowledge and experience throughout SE Asia, feel confident to use them and I trust that your holiday will be as rewarding as ours was.
