3d2n Sic Tour Hochiminh - Cuchi - Mekong Delta

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) is the business and financial hub of Vietnam, with a prominent history going back hundreds of years. The Khmers originally settled the region, with the Vietnamese taking over in the 17th century. The French conquered Saigon, as it was then known, in 1859, and made it the capital of Cochin China in 1862, which resulted in numerous elegant architecture and broad boulevards that are still present to this day. At the peak of the Vietnam War in 1969, the city had 4.5 million inhabitants who were all evacuated when Saigon and the rest of the South fell to North Vietnam in 1975

HIGHTLIGHTS:

HoChiMinh : The Old Post Office, Hundreds Years Red Catheral, Reunification Palace, People’s Committee Hall, French Opera House

Mekong delta : My Tho – Ben Tre

We had a wonderful and memorable first trip to Vietnam last month. Thanks to the excellent customer service provided by Tina, always response promptly to email. We have really enjoyed our time especially in central part Hoi An and Hue with our guide Mr Ten. His passion, enthusiasm for his work, and his care for us made our trip an unforgettable one!

Our main contact, Tina, was competent and respond to messages promptly. When we had to make a slight change to airport transfer schedule, she accommodated our request readily. Our guide for the Hanoi/Sapa part of the tour, Mr Hoa, was informative. In addition, he would let us know the plan for the day so we know how much time we have at each location. The cruise that Tina arranged for us at Ha Long Bay also met expectation. Hand-off from bus (with other groups) on the way back to Hanoi so we could catch our flight to Ho Chi Minh City was seamless. Excellent coordination that we truly appreciated. Our guide for Ho Chi Minh City, though, rarely provided any information and walked very fast so we had to keep catching up to him. We felt rushed the whole time even though it was a private tour of two (husband and I). He also switched our itinerary around (Cu Chi then Ben Thanh) so he could drop us off at Ben Thanh and call it a day. He said it’s easy to find our own way back to the hotel so he and the driver left. I understood that the driver got stuck in New Year’s Eve traffic and didn’t get to go home the night before so I didn’t mind the walking home part. We walked back to the hotel using Google Maps. I felt that the Saigon part could have been done without the guide. Moreover, he mentioned tipping a few times. Even though it was directed at others (staff at Cu Chi, Mekong boat driver and the car driver), it felt rather pointed and self-serving. Overall, still would recommend Asia Pacific Tour due to excellent service from Tina and Mr Hoa.

Ms. CHI and her guides - the calm Mr HOA for Hanoi, the enthusiastic Mr TEN for Hue and HoiAn, and the unbeatable Mr JACKY HIEU for Saigon and Mekong delta - gave us a great experience on the sites we visited - Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hue, HoiAn, Saigon and Mekong Delta. I highly recommend contacting ASIA PACIFIC to organize your trip to Vietnam.
