We only went to see the exterior of the building, we didn't see a show so this review may not give the full experience of the opera house. The building is impressive and a great photo spot - worth taking a walk to see it....More

We came across this place during our free walking tour of the French Quarter. The opera house facade is impressive and elegant looking, a legacy from the French colonial days. Very busy area as it sits in front of a major intersection/crossroad so watch out...More

The building has nice architecture design. I was kind of walking past and stopped to have a look. Wouldn't go out of my way to see the building. Hence if walking past good to get a pic and to tick off. I was tempted to...More

One of most beautiful Hanoi edifices is certainly the Opera house, modeled after its famous Paris sister. It's not that ornate, but it stands out among others in Hanoi. We saw it at night, it was perfectly lit up and dominating the square and round...More

I couldn't enter without a tour or ticket for a show so only saw the outside, which is a lovely old French influenced building at a roundabout.

I would say is not worthy the walk, not very impressive area, busy and nothing to see, I guess if you are going to go a show maybe it is worthy, only to see the building, do something else.

Even if you don't go in for a show just go by to see how beautiful this is. It is really a special sight in old Hanoi.

Beautiful architecture reminiscent of that found in Paris. The interior was equally beautiful. We saw a stunning Cirque de Soleil performance there called Lang Toi, My Village. This show is a must-see!!
