This night market on the edge of West Lake starts up around 2 a.m., when wholesalers arrive to claim their spots with piles of roses and chrysanthemums, and lasts until sunrise. Quang Ba is especially worth a visit during Tet, when flowers are needed for the many new year's celebrations.

A must visit market for flower lovers. Fresh flowers with all sorts of varieties. I just love them all. Most of the flowers sold are still in close buds. They last longer. Pick the lilies, orchids and daisies. They are just too pretty.

I work with Photo Journalist from Hanoi and we always visit the market on my visits to Hanoi. I take many pictures and the Vietnamese do not seem to mind. Early am 5 or 6 is best time to see the action.

It is very enjoyable if you come to this flower market at midnight. Surrounded by colors and nice smell, as well as locals wandering around with flowers or food. If you know Vietnamese or come with a local, you would understand how interesting the market operates every night. This place is not limited to buying cheap flowers, but a chance... More

Tha flower market is quite an experience.... Particularly just before the New Year. Vietnamese celebrate the Lunar New Year as a big family holiday, and tak flowers for decoration and gifts to Their family gathering. It,s a crazy time with whole families travelling on a single moped often in their best clothes, with big bunches of flowers. Recommend you walk... More

Fabulous flower market!! Vietnamese love flowers and the selection at this market is always great. Best to visit very early, when the market is most energized.

I took a tour of this place and it was very nicely done. I thought I was going to be pushed and shoved but in the chaos, there was order. I got plenty of pics and I thought I wouldn't enjoy the experience. I was mistaken. I can't really explain why it was so nice but I mean you're among... More

I love to get up early and visit markets. There is something magical in watching stall holders set up and you arrive before all the other visitors. I'd never been to a flower market, and this was first opportunity, to do so, so when our guide said he'd pick us up at 9.30am I was disappointed. The decision was made,... More

I made the mistake of going to late the first few times. If you really need something fresh / specific you need to go 6 -7ish. After that most of the flowers are packed on bikes and the bike ladies then go through the neighborhoods to sell their goods. But on occasion I found 11AM to be the perfect time... More

Having seen a thousand fruit and veg markets I opted for the flower market tour. Very difficult to get good photographs due to the early morning darkness and most flowers wrapped in plastic.

Young and old will like the multitude of colors and varieties. Be prepared to haggle a bit and walk away. HOWEVER looking at my living and the time effort and their living conditions I am fully prepared to pay their price. Considering roses in the USA are triple what they are asking I have no problems. If you like to,... More
