We visited on Tuesday they said closed on tuesdays. We come back Friday (today) and they say closed. They tell us that they close over winter but it’s autumn. We know people who were here just the other day. No advertising on their website or google or anything so twice we have driven all the way here for no reason. A 30 min drive each way such a waste. Furthermore they employ a guard at the gate and a lady at the counter to sit there all day and tell people it’s closed??? You’re kidding. We also saw about 5 other people both times we went that were turned away. Don’t waste your time going, they will just close without warning.

Worked well for a rainy day

The water park is located next to an amusement park, and there aren't many obvious signs in English, but the staff there helped us get things figured out. You buy tickets at the same ticket booth. Prices were higher than what I had found mentioned online (160K) but still reasonable for full access to the pools and slides. We had chicken, a slice of stewed pork, rice, and vegetables with a cup of broth for lunch, but they also had bao and hot dogs - but I think we made the better call. There are several very shallow pools with fountains and water slides for younger children, a wave pool (with intermittent waves), a jacuzzi, and a deeper pool with a zip line for "diving". It rained while we were there, but it didn't dampen the day much. The only real hassle was the changing room situation. The changing rooms are shower stalls and there isn't an inch of dry space anywhere to set down your things to get changed in and out dry clothes. The floors were also pretty nasty, so definitely bring shower/swim shoes.

Ok place

Simple water park with some pretty easy rides.. go with simple expectations and you will be happy.

No crowds when we were there... went mid week in school holidays.. there is a more modern park out a bit further.

But be careful like all water parks in asia they choose slippery floor tiles that make it a bit of a hazard so be careful.

Place could do with some maintenance as looki g a bit old.

But if your looking to get out of the heat no crowds and want to be in an uncrowded waterpark.. worth a visit but again have low expectations

Affordable day out, but be cautious when there.

The waterpark costs 160,000 dong each for those above the height requirement and for that cheap price you get access to a lazy river, pool, water slides and a few activities for kids. Make sure to bring some change as the lockers cost 30,000 with a 50,000 deposit. In order to get this back they require you to keep a ticket, non- torn, in a plastic tube necklace that inevitably leaks water into it. If you have your own waterproof case this may be beneifical to bring with you.

Additionally, as this is a very local place many women choose to cover up with clothes over the top of a bikini. I went with my boyfriend (both 21 and from England) and to feel more secure in myself as I have been stared and pointed at in a bikini in Vietnam before, I opted for a t-shirt and shorts over the top, nothing out of the ordinary. However, they refused to let me down the slides unless I removed my clothes, but were quite happy to let the clothed local women go down. On the lazy river I also experienced a local man grabbing my bum and trying to converse with me where the lifeguards, who were fully watching the situation and made eye contact with me after, were not prepared to do anything about it. If you go please be extra cautious of your surroundings. Also be prepared for all squat toilets where in the girls bathroom none of them are able to be locked.

In all it’s a cheap day out to escape the heat of Hanoi, but don’t expect an especially clean place (be careful as the floor has algae patches that are quite slippery). It serves its purpose and you can have a day out there if you find yourself in need of something to do. But if you’re a non-local have your wits about you.

Family fun

This was the kids' choice, as they were over tourist stuff and hot. It was an affordable day out - not often we'd get into a water park for about AU$7 per person, and not a big taxi fare from old town. We spent 5 hours there and could have spent longer. It was a Monday, and just us and a few other tourists until about 4pm, so no queues. (It obviously gets busy on the weekend; they were clearing up from a wedding.) It was not up there with world class water parks, but there was fun to be had and cultural learnings. (Locals came in in stillettos carrying a little handbag and hired bathers, so they would match.) Kids started off feeling a bit like ninja, swinging on rings and ropes before making a big jump. They were told they were too tall for a kids pool. The wave pool started when they asked. I needed something calmer so went the very slow river, where some people were set up drinking, with beer cheaper than water. They convinced me some of the thrilling rides were easy, but I nearly lost my top on one and swallowed a lot of water on another, and I am usually ok with water slides. I went up to look out over the lake. They kept going for ages. If we'd hung around it would've been a nice lake sunset. People talk about hygiene and maintenance in reviews, but things seemed clean and ok. It is worth noting a few things. Child price was based on height. It was hard to find where to get a locker key. It was behind the first cafes. You paid a deposit, and got a thing to hang around your neck with a paper receipt, but the canister wasn't water proof. There was cafe, but no English menu we could find, so it was a bit of a guessing game. All toilets we found were squat style, and doors didn't lock well. As with a large part of the country, slippery tiles were used and my son fell and hit his head. (My daughter cut a toe and staff carried a first aid kit and communicated without English.) Also as with a large part of the country there were confusing rules. My husband and son were stopped from wearing rashies (UV tops) under #7 swimwear only, but my daughter and I were ok in one, and when my son put mine on it was ok. Other people were allowed on in Chanel silk pjs and those tourist banana shorts, and wore glasses despite a specific rule. Tourists drinking and swimming was ok, as was lifeguards smoking.

Manage your expectations
Apr 2019 • Friends
8 of us went along on a Saturday and the place was absolutely packed with people, but the lines for water slides moved pretty quickly.
It’s clearly a favourite place for locals, there were very few tourists and so most of the staff don’t speak English.
It doesn’t meet Western Standards of maintenance and cleanliness so lower your expectations and be careful. It’s also a concrete jungle so don’t look for anywhere to lay a towel down and relax or snooze on a deck chair.
However, it’s a respite from the Hanoi heat and a cheap day out for a bit of fun.

Don't waste your time and money!

Had awful experience here ! Me and my partner came to Hanoi for a few days , on hot sunny day decided to spend some time in aqua park , took taxi (approx -130.000 dongs , came there , the lady on entrance showed where to buy tickets , bought 2 ,paid 260.000 dongs more , came in, walked around , the park and equipment looked very old and unsafe for rides , couldn't find any water slides or swimming pool , went back to ask the same lady and got the reply that aquapark is closed !!!had the awful feeling that we have been simply ripped off ! Don't waste your money and time , as google is not showing when it is closed ! Or if you're coming ,ask if it is open before paying .

Great place for both kids and adults.
Oct 2018 • Family
Went here with wife and our two boys (1 and 4 years old)
We spent a good 2.5 hours here.
The kids’ areas are great and fun. The lazy river fantastic.
The slides very exciting. Remember that the “Black hole” slide needs two persons. I teamed up with another tourist to both our amusement. Fabulously thrilling ride!
It would got a 5 star if the security guards at the “up to 1.1m high pools” let us adults ride the slides with our 4 year’s old who is not a very good swimmer. These security guards (not acting at life guards for sure) where aggressive, when not sleeping or playing with their phones. They were so annoying we give the place a 3.
