We were looking for a tour where we could see the whole country from North to South in about 12 days and Handetour offered the itinerary and level of comfort we were looking for. Our contact during the planning of the trip was Mr Vien Do in Hanoi. He was very helpful in accommodating our requests for changes and customising to our satisfaction.
The guides and drivers were excellent, Mr Dzung and Mr Tri in the North (Hanoi and Halong Bay) and Mr Khanh and Mr Dat who took us from Hue to Saigon. Mr Dzung was especially helpful as we dealt with cellphone and camera issues. He is a very nice young man. Both of our drivers navigated through the chaotic and intimidating traffic without mishap, it seems a miracle in retrospect ! The largely incessant rain from Hue to Saigon necessitated skipping some visits but we were still able to see the beautiful countryside of most of Vietnam.
Most of the hotels were fine, especially the Atlas in Hoi An, a really outstanding new hotel. However the Asean in Halong is rather old and tired, not a of a very high standard and the neighbourhood not comfortable for non-Vietnamese tourists.
We were privileged to see and participate in many very special attractions, the marvellous singers of Bac Ninh district near Hanoi, the climb up Langbiang mountain in Dalat in a jeep, private boat tours of Halong Bay and Nha Trang Bay (where we got up close and personal with the sealife), the emperor's mausoleum in Hue and so many others.
We ate very well on this tour, the Y Thao Garden in Hue and the on boat meals in Halong and Nha Trang were particularly noteworthy. It must be said that the lunches although delicious were frequently too much food for the time of day, a lighter meal would be preferable on most days.
The tour was not inexpensive (this is not for traveller's on a budget) but for us it was really a once in a lifetime way to go. After the tour was over we realised how nice it was to have a driver show up every morning (always on time), our baggage taken care of, our day all planned and a nice hotel waiting for us every night. A taste of the high life :). Over all we enjoyed most everything except the rain, very definitely reccomend Handetour especially their willingness to change and personalise their standard tours and the experienced and knowledgeable guides and drivers they employ.
Once again special thanks to Bui Tuan Anh and everyone who helped us have a wonderful tour

In April this year we had the immense pleasure of visiting Vietnam. Thanh Huong Nguyen was our efficient agent. She organised a private trip that included cycling the Mekong Delta, Spending time in Hue and Hanoi. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, Special mention must be made of of cycling guide Yi (spelling??) who cycled all 400km in jeans, and our driver in the Delta Ki (spelling?) who tolerated us as well adn the two of them also took us to local eateries as we didn't want to eat at tourist restaurants. The historic and cultural aspect of this trip was fantastic. The cheery on the cake was our wonderful agent meeting us at our hotel in Hanoi. Would highly recommend the services of this company.

My friend and I booked with handetour about 11days with hotels and internals flights included...I was disappointed a little bit..before I came to Vietnam I sent an email to ask them that we have a lot of time between the transfer from halong bay to the airport so what are they going to do...they didn’t bother themselves to answer me...we arrived to the airport 2hours and a half in advance and the worth is that the plane was delayed one hour to note the internal flight you have to be only one hour in advance so we arrived in the evening to the hotel it was dark and couldn’t do anything so our evening was lost...they didn’t even apologize for that in an email...too bad because Vietnamese are very friendly people and they are always ready to help...for the guides they were ok very friendly and attentive...Vin took us to drink egg coffee and try noodles but there was a lot of free time in Hanoi and we tried my friend and I to do extra things....the agency didn’t tell us we would in that case done more research to see what to do...Manh was very good the tours with him were very good and fulfilling and he was very helpful and told us where to go dinner...Vinh was very good And he have always informations to give you...the restaurants chosen were good especially aspara ...the tours were well done ...

I request all those holiday goers travelling to Vietnam,to stay away from HANDETOURS.
We were a group of 16 and took an entire bus.
The tour guide MR Vien was pathetic.
Refused to stop during a 4 hour trip for a toilet break.
Requested that we pay atleast $3 per a person per a day as a tip as well as an additional tip for his driver. This prior to insulting about being Indian and not wanting to take Indian people because they didn't tip like Americans.
We visited many temples, which were pretty boring to say the least.
Furthermore any meal requests made were not accommodated by HANDETOURS.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

We have traveled with Handetour before to Vietnam so we were delighted that they now organise tours to Myanmar and we didn't hesitate to contact Mr Do Vien at Handetour to help us again.
We were 4 adults (2 couples) in our 60's and Mr Do Vien worked our itinerary out to give us lots of free time and space.
The trip was flawless in every way, fabulous hotels and guides, transport and drivers were excellent and every day was a new adventure. What a beautiful country, we had no idea what to expect even though we have traveled in Asia extensively, but Myanmar was new to us and is so far is unspoilt and just amazing, the people are the friendliest we have ever encountered. Well worth considering if you like Asia. Our huge thanks to Mr do Vien and Handtour for a truly wonderful trip, we will return to Myanmar, (with Handetour).

I was travelling with my 85 year young father and realised that to see everything we wanted to it would be better to have an escorted tour. Mr Do Vien organised everything for us, we chose where to go and for how long and he did the rest. The communication ahead of the trip was impeccable and the trip went without a hitch.
The hotel choices all lived up to, and in some cases were beyond our expectations. Their location was always in the thick of things and well chosen. It is difficult to single any out as being better than the others, they all had their unique qualities.
The guides we had were informative and knowledgeable, had a very good command of our language, and were so incredibly helpful and kind, especially when I was unfortunately ill on arrival in Ho Chi Minh City.
The tours and entertainment options organised for us certainly gave us a good insight into the history and culture of the places we visited. No day was too long, nor any visit rushed, we were able to go entirely at our own pace.
The restaurants chosen for our meal options were all of high quality, the food was excellent and in some instances (Hoi An by the river as an example) the location stunning.
In short my father and I were treated like royalty throughout.
I would thoroughly recommend using this company who also gave us exceptional value for money.
