One of the better galleries in Hanoi. We fell in love with a pretty painting of "the girl with platted hair", painted on silk. Nguyen, the Manager, part of the owner/family, was friendly and efficient in dealing with us (but tough as nails when trying to negotiate price . . .). We cannot wait for the painting to arrive in Australia and give it a place of honor in our house.

I found this gallery while roaming the streets of Hanoi! It was perfectly clean and the salesperson was not at all overly pushy as you find a lot in town. Very nice selection by several different artists. A great stop while in town for a refreshing look at the local flavor of the arts!

Lovely gallery in Hang Gai Street at the lake end, stunning display, gorgeous photos and found the staff friendly.
Even if you don't purchase go and have a look.

I am in a fairly unique position as I visited Hanoi 12 years ago visited many galleries including this one and bought several paintings and other items on that trip. I was looking forward to returning and to potentially buying more items.
I visited this 'gallery' and the neighbouring one and was shocked/intrigued by what I saw. Basically, they are selling exactly the same artists and in some cases artworks as they were 12 years ago. The masks on the wall I have in my home for 12 years plus one of the model boys. The only thing which has really changed are the prices.
I was expecting to see new artists but had a very strong sense of deja vu with everything I saw.
The key message is buy something if you like it but don't look upon it as more than a piece of home decoration so, in that context, you may view these things as being overpriced

Hi, thank you for your feedback which is much appreciated. You might have mistaken us for another shop on Trang Tien Street who copied the same name. We pride ourselves as one of Vietnam's leading and most prestigious art galleries.
At Thang Long Art, you will find not only leading contemporary artists but also talented and emerging artists. We recently welcomed German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at our gallery during his official visit to Vietnam. During the tour, an emerging artist, Ngo Van Sac, performed live wood-burning art techniques in front of the Chancellor. https://www.bundesregierung.de/breg-de/mediathek/fotos/bundeskanzler-vietnam-2142476

Loved it but how do you buy once you get home? I bought a revolutionary poster for its vibrant colours and as a memento of Hanoi and its history. It was nicely packed for my trip home. Any tips about buying on line once you are no longer in Vietnam?

Reasonable prices and they do a good job packaging what you buy for your return trip. We bought an art deco style print of Halung Bay which I did see anywhere else in my 3 weeks throughout Vietnam. You don't barter here as you do on the streets but the prices are decent such that you don't have to.

Well, a nice designed one.
Good morden design. It's a shop where you can buy whatever in it! Or just browsing around..
