We booked a night bus through Nhat Le Hotel and we made sure that we got seats in the middle of the bus, as we had the experience of being seated in the back of these kind of night buses before (and it's not very comfortable!). However, when we got on the bus, first they didn't want to let us in (seating priority being given to locals) and second, when we got on the bus, the driver pushed us in the back of the bus even though we told them that we had reserved specific seats. The mistake we made was to give our tickets with the reservation number on them to the lady who picked us up, who didn't give them back to us and stayed behind at the station. We then had to fight with the bus driver and stand up for ourselves to get our seats, until the driver offered us another seat right next to the toilets. Again, we asked for our reserved seats, and than he just decided to ignore us. We gave up and chose some alternative seats for ourselves. The driver stopped bothering us after that. Needless to say, almost all the seats in the front and middle of the bus were left empty for the entire trip, with a bunch of white people stuffed in the back and a few locals in the front. There was no need for the driver to deny us the "good" chairs in front which we had already paid for.

We didn’t look at reviews beforehand, we just booked a bus through our hotel. Vietnamese people got seated first, foreigners put in the back. Many many weird stops, police came and was probably bribed. Aircon was good and seats good for Vietnam.
Would not go again because of the weird stops that took a long time, the trip took 14 hours from Hue to Ninh Binh.

We ordered a sleeper bus from Ninh Binh to Hoi An with trekking travel. Price was okay but everything else was shockingly bad. The guy in the bus was honestly the rudest person I have ever met and refused to let my partner sleep on the bottom as she struggles with heights even though there were clearly 4 or 5 beds available on the bottom. It became clear later on he was saving these for his Vietnamese mates who got on. The bus ws bumpy, the seats too small and extremely uncomfortable. Definitely would not book again and neither should you.

We caught the bus from Ninh Binh to Hoi An. Firstly we got on and were rudely shoved and were pointed to go on the top bunk. My partner explained that I wouldn't be comfortable getting up and down the ladder due to having a back injury and the guy just waived his hand in my partners face. We later discovered he was saving those seats for locals getting on later even though we were strictly told we cant reserve seats. The bathroom is disgusting, no tap to wash your hands.
I was woken up at 5.30am when we were close to arriving by being PUNCHED HARD IN THE ARM!! As a female traveller this was so shocking!
When we got off the bus we received our bags soaked through. All of our clothes were wet!!
Never again. Save yourself the grief and book a different sleeper bus as there are quite a few.

After we left Hue and got on the road to Ninh Binh I was so upset about the way we were treated that I decided to leave a review. When I looked at already existing ones I decided to wait and see what happens next as they were all right to the point. So that's how our trip went:
1. Screaming lady from the office urged us to board the oldest mini van ever. She gave us a piece of paper with seats written on (AB7). Which meant lower level and the middle (that paper saved us).
2. Overcrowded mini van. More people than seats.
3. Dodgy bus station.
4. Locals seated first. 3 of us foreigners pushed to the back of the queue.
5. They forced us to sit at the back on the upper levels. These seats are the worst. It's like traveling on a coffin. That is why we requested lower level middle seats. We had to fight with the drivers. Literally very unnecessary fight and shout they were rude beyond imaginable. Luckily they gave up and allowed us to sit where we were allocated. Later we saw how well they were treating locals it seemed to be company 's policy to hate tourists. There was no reason to sit as at the back as the bus wasn't full. They just wanted us to sit there that's all.
6. Dodgy stop at dodgy house.
7. Bus loaded big time with boxes of beer.
8. Lights off when some packaging was hid behind seats.
9. Police stop.
10. Police paid.

We reached Ninh Binh in one piece. They drove safely as it was at least 3 drivers (1 of them pooped right next to the bus so we could see the entire "action")...

I do not know if they actually smuggled drugs or not. But it was all a bit questionable. It is not just a bus company. At least a beer transfer on top. But the fact that they HATE FOREIGNERS is good enough reason to avoid them at any cost.

Sleeper bus from Hué to Hanoi.
We unfortunately booked and paid our tickets before reading the other reviews.
We were picked up in a worn out minivan by 2 rude guys yelling at us - they didn't speak any English though!
We were taken to the sleeper bus outside of Hué and our bags were thrown out of the minivan.
From here all the previous reviews tell our story.. Rude staff, old and uncomfortable bus, terrible driving and many strange "pick-ups" during the trip.. We were also quite sure that one or more of the staff were high on cocaine or something like that as they were constantly aggressive and snorting.
We had one break during the entire 12 hour trip.

Don't try to save money by booking a bus trip with Trekking Travel - avoid them at all costs!

Took the sleeper bus from Hoi An to Nha Trang with this company. Ob arrival at Nha Trang, I took my backpack which had been stored in the luggage hold. It was soaking wet and it wasn't water that had caused it! It absolutely stunk. Must have been stored under or near to the toilet. Now having to get the pack washed and all the clothes that were in it at my hotel. Avoid this company.

We took a bus this morning to go to Hoi An from Hué. When the bus arrived (5 minutes late, not a big deal), the man took our backpacks and threw them in, already shouting «hurry ! Hurry !». No «hello», no «please»... we were the first to come in the bus, and seated a few places behind the driver. Then we started to pick other people from their hostels : each time, the man shouted «go behind ! Go behind !», even when the bus was overcrowded, and there was no longer places behind. People were forced to be separated behind even when there was still empty couple seats in the front. The guy didn't hesitate to push people to make them go faster to the behind places, even old people... everybody was angry ! It's the very first time since the beginning of our trip that I meet such a rude guy !

We decided to take a sleeping bus from Hue to Hanoi. A couple of things went seriously wrong with these guys:
1. the driver yelled at us that we had to sit on top. My girlfriend's arm is broken, so that wasn't possible. Because he couldn't speak a word of english, he got angry and almost threw us out.

2. after 2 hours of dangerous driving we stopped at a random house for 1 hour. The crew loaded in 200 crates of beer + packages with tape wrapped around them (which later turned out to be drugs)

3. after this, we had to stop at a police control. We had to park the bus near the police station for almost 2 hours while the crew probably bribed the agents. They came back with like 100 small bags of white powder shoving it under our seats.

4. i didn't sleep for a minute because the driving was unbelievable, i'm surprised i'm still alive.

Just a bunch of arrogant criminals. Tourist pay most, but get the worst seats. Local pay a lot less and get the best seats. Avoid this "company" at all time.
