Course is getting better
Mar 2020
Course is getting better, continued investment evident. Greens were in excellent condition. Friendly Staff at the lounge. I wish the pro at the pro shop would be a little nicer.

Good Golfing Experience
Nov 2019
Four of us set off for the golfing experience in this island mountain view course. The course was well maintained and as it was a matured course, the golfing experience was different from the newer golf courses in the north. It was fun as the fairways were narrower and certain holes were well protected with bunkers. The view was spectacular in some holes.

Caddies were well trained and they tried their level best in supporting your golf. This made the trip interesting and great even for high handicapper.

Facilities were well maintained too, like the locker room, boat points and rest points in the course.

Overall, pleasant experience.

BRG King Course - Highlight of Hanoi Courses
Jul 2019 • Friends
When one comes to Hanoi for golf, the BRG King's Island courses are usually golfers will choose to play at.

It has 55 holes 19-18-18 combo and the experience of having to take a 7 minutes speedboat ride to the island as one of the highlight. The course was quite quiet on a weekday though maybe because of the hot weather.

We played the King course first followed by Mountain course. The more than 7 minutes buggy ride to both these courses are something to take note about. The entire island with 3 courses are huge. However, the halfway houses operation is dismal. You don't get the standard halfway house per 4-5 holes. The caddies in Hanoi so far is a disappointment, no enthusiasm whatsoever and is just there to do the basic. My caddy for both round is so far the most acceptable compared to the rest of the 3 courses I played although she also lost her enthusiasm after our 30th hole. Can't blame them as 36H are tiring.

Starting with King's course - Beautiful scenery and rivers around the course makes it challenging. Lotsa bunkers at King Course is another challenge. Comparing to Mountain course, King Course green again is one of the slowest we ever seen. Not sure if this is the trademark for all BRG courses and if so, I would not have high hopes for BRG Da-Nang if I ever play there.

Mountain course on the other hand as its name suggest boost more trees but does not look like a typical mountain course to me as some holes were beside rivers, waters, etc. The greens speed at Mountain course is slightly better/faster than King's but still slower than Van Tri and Long Bien.

In the end, I would say BRG King Island courses are worth playing. The 4 stars was mainly due to their slow greens. But end of the day, if this is your first time coming to Hanoi for golf, playing these courses at BRG King's Island are definitely not to be missed

Many times in the past and twice for new Nicklaus course. This new course is nice design, beautiful grass in fairway and green, challenge enough for scratch golfer but convenience for newbie :)

Golf Holiday
Apr 2018 • Friends
Played golf at the Kings course on King Island. Had to get there by boat, about ten minutes. That was a good experience in itself. The Kings course had heaps of bunkers and water. Really enjoyed it because it made you think about every shot. Suitable for all handicaps with about four different tee placements. Drove past the Lake and Mountain course on the way. They looked great as well. Clubhouse facilities and caddies were excellent.
It was a great experience. I wish we had the time to play the other two courses.

Location
Nov 2017 • Friends
This looks like a place that needs a professional make over. The location and course are excellent and look very sustainable. There are few irrelevant flower beds. Aussie gum trees spoils it a bit. Boat ride must be an expensive item. Club house design is amateurish. Course is good to play on. Comfortable and enjoyable. Looks low maintenance. Caddies are good. A worthy destination. About 70 mins from Hanoi.

Played on this course on the 28th Nov and found the course extremely well maintained n challenging. The caddies spread good English and able to read greens n judge distances. The restaurant serves good food too. Love it.

Must Play Top Golf Course in Hanoi
Nov 2016
This is one of the best golf course in Hanoi. We played in the mountain course and on a weekday. The course is situated in the middle of a lake and you need to get to the course by boat. The course surronding is beautiful and well maintained . The course took approx.1.5 hours from Hanoi by bus. Once you get there, it will be worth it for a great round of golf

Great Course Close to Hanoi
Jul 2016 • Business
This is a delightful course not too far from Hanoi but distant enough to have a country feel. The course is very picturesque.

Arrival is by a fast five minute boat ride across the lake and then a cart will take you up the hill to the clubhouse. After sweating your way through 18 holes, you will be glad of the time on the water on the way home.

My colleague and I found the course to be very playable and in excellent condition.

If (as we were) you are in Hanoi and looking for a golf excursion without spending too much time in the car, Kings Lake is an excellent choice.

An Experience Not to be Missed
Nov 2015 • Couples
It was pouring with rain the day my husband and I booked to play - and a large tournament had been organised for local members. On the down side, and as visitors to the club, the staff paid little / no attention to us (eg no help in providing directions to locker rooms, carts, first tee etc) with focus on members. There weren't any rain covers for the golf bags or stroke savers to help visitors navigate the course. However, despite the wet weather, we were accompanied by two delightful caddies who helped us enjoy the mountain course and we would certainly visit again on a return visit to Vietnam.
