We had Thu Hong as our guide on a Saturday. We were extremely impressed by her knowledge base on the various topics in the ethnography museum and we felt very pleasant to spend a day with her. The restaurants she found were reasonably-priced and offer delicious food. Her Chinese level is also in the expert level. She also made sure we get a Grab before she left. We would definitely recommend the organization and we felt lucky to have met Thu Hong

It was our first time in Vietnam. Thanks to the internet, we are able to get a free tour guide from Hanoi. It was really hard to visit places without a tour guide. Luckily there are people who offers their services for free.
Our tour guide, Ms. Duong Thuy Nguyen was the best guide we have ever met. Her knowledge of the history and culture of Vietnam was amazing. She was able to provide us necessary, knowledgable and detailed information of every place and historical places we visited at vietnam . Her humor and personality were exactly what was needed. She was constantly aware of the needs of each individual in the group and tailored her suggestions accordingly. In Maison Centrale our local guide did a great job of filling in and gave an excellent tour of every corner of the facility. Me and my friends enjoyed each of the area we visited, with her company. Her very passionate in sharing her knowledge about vietnam's history and culture. Her services is inacapable of pecuniary estimation.

Thanks to Duong Thuy Nguyen, we are able to enjoy our trip here at Vietnam. She is not just our tour guide, but our friend and our sister. :) We may forget some of the details she discuss and shared, the look of the places we went, but our friendship with her will forever remain 😍 Thank you to the Best Tour Guide ever.

We had a terrific time spent with our guide Ly getting yo know Hanoi.
She was very professional and showed great passion, our tour was extremely informative. We would never have found the places she took us to.
Walking the back streets of the old quarter, experiencing the hustle and bussle of the city visiting the quirky coffee shop drinking the creamy Vietnamese egg coffee, sampling street food ,all wonderful experiences creating memories that will last a life time. I strongly recommend this tour

Hanoi Free Tour guides assigned us the great guide - Trang.
Our communication with her started some days before the arrival to Hanoi. She provided us with very useful and exact information on the timetable of trains passing through the train street. This information wasn't available in our hotel ubicated 30 meters from the train street. Only Trang was managed to help us.

Trang improved my itinerary by changing the sequence of the sights in more logical way.
We managed to visit all the places.
Trang provided us with not only the general information about the sights but also interesting comments only a local person can give.

Trang speaks English fluently. Her English is much better than English of the most Vietnamese we talked to during our journey (incl. staff at hotels, restaurants, airport, guides etc.).

In overall we had excellent experience with Trang and Hanoi Free Tour Guides. Thanks a lot for providing me with this opportunity.

Got to know this awesome group by a friend in Vietnam. We book online and got fast response. To our surprises, they tour is fully customized to your interests which made us feel much easier and comfortable to enjoy Hanoi trip.
Our Guide, Mark was truly excellence in English communication and gave us much helpful introduction to the city.
Mark was punctual to pick us up at the hotel and made good recommendations. We just had around 4 hours before taking another trip to Halong bay; however, we are full with information of city culture, its people and especially Hanoi food.
You paid for entrance fee and meal (not so expensive by the way, around 5 dollars each, which is really cheap for us to enjoy Pho cuojn, noodles and some Vietnamese cuisine.
We ended the tour at around 1pm. It is really a cheap way to explore the city with local friend.
Thanks Mark again for fabulous experience.

My feedback on this tour is very positive. The girl Van who accompanied me, was very kind and caring, she was worried when I was crossing the road and she always held me by the arm, she was interested in finding a suitable restaurant for me that I am a vegetarian and she accepted my request to walk without take car. she was educated and good at explaining Vietnamese traditions and curiosities about Hanoi. Besides, his Italian is good and it's nice that he could practice it with me. you should advertise to promote more your tour and expecially those in Italian because so many Italians are afraid to come in Vietnam because they can't find anyone who speaks our language.

We met in front of the museum of ethnology. My guide Thu Trang expain about various Vietnam group and she know very well about this. It was easy to understand and even very fun. She is very good at English. Next we go to have lunch. She guide us to very local restaurant where we never able to find. So we could enjoy various kind of Vietnam foods. It was very delicious. Next we go to park where is so peaceful. She did her best to take nice photo. We could make good memory of our own. Next we go to have some desert. We ate yogurt with fruits. Actually it is hard to find local restaurant for us, cause we don't have any information about there and most of local restaurant clerks can't speak English. She consider about this so she take us local restaurant. We couldn't able to experience that without her consideration. Next we went Dong Xuan market to look around. She helped us buying some fruits and she tell us if the price is reasonable or not. So we could buy fruits with reasonable prices. Next we went to have dinner and it was also fantastic. Thanks to her our trip became abundant. Talking with her was also very nice. We could share each culture and differences. I want to give thanks to my guide Thu Trang and I want to recommend strongly to many tourists

We book a full day tour with student guide name Trang and She did give us a big surprise. Her knowledge of Hanoi was just fantastic. She took us to enjoy some local cuisine, which is really affordable in comparison with having meals at expensive restaurant.
We were picked at hotel at 8, she was punctual and professional. Her English was another plus.
You paid for the meal, which was really cheap and some entrance tickets.
We strongly recommend this group while taking your time in Hanoi.
Thanks Trang and Hanoi Free Tour guides for your great introduction to the city.

I wasn't sure what to expect after filling out a booking request form but within 10min, I received a Whatsapp message from Lily and was able to coordinate a tour just a few hours after reaching out. Lily was a 3rd year student. She was extremely flexible, outgoing, patient, genuine, and generous with her time by showing me around for the entire afternoon. She gave me a thorough tour of the Temple of Literature, took me her motorbike to a delicious local lunch spot for Bun Cha, and then around the lake for the best views of Hanoi. But for me what really stood out was that Lily made an effort to help me create memorable moments. In our conversations, I had briefly mentioned that I had tried most of the local fruits but had not yet tried durian. So while driving back to the hotel, she spotted a "Premium Durian" shop and pulled over for a durian taste testing. Checked off my bucket list thanks to Lily!

I highly recommend this for solo travelers and anyone looking for a fun way to explore the city and make a new local friend.
