Overview
Our itineraries are designed to maximize your holiday experience and enjoyment; included are daytime excursions to the largest floating fishing village on the bay and to an island featuring swimming and a climb to the best panoramic view of the bay. We tour one of the bay’s largest and most spectacular indoor caves. Evening activities include an assortment of board games and film entertainment. We also offer, in squid season, an evening excursion to a nearby squid fishing boat for an up-close look at the local fishermen plying the waters of the bay for squid and other fish. Onboard massage service is available as well to enhance your cruise.

Review of: Indochina Sails
We were probably one of the last overnight cruises before Halong Bay was closed down due to Covid 19 so we were very lucky to have this amazing experience. Checked in at the Indochina dock and transferred by tender to the boat. First was a safety briefing by our cruise director along with a refreshing glass of ginger tea. We were then given our keys and collected our luggage. The room was lovely but we had no towels. Mentioned it to the cruise director "Dani" on our way to lunch and he immediately offered us an upgrade to a room with a balcony on the 2nd deck. A beautiful room complete with rainwater shower and fresh orchids by the washbasin. A set lunch was served which was very good and then we had chance to sit outside and enjoy the stunning scenery before our excursion to The Surprise Cave. This was by tender then a climb up many steps to the entrance to the caves. Absolutely incredible and worth the climb. Back on the ship by 5.30 and and watch the carving of fruit and vegetables by one of the chefs. He was an artist, so skilful. Back to our room before Buffet Dinner served at 7.30pm. The buffet was OK but not the best, several dishes ran out before my husband had chance to try them, these were not replenished, a couple on an adjoining table also missed out on the chicken, seafood fried rice, stir fried vegetables etc. One would think that the caterers on board would know which dishes are favourites and have extra in the kitchen to replenish the dishes. By the time we were ready for desserts once again the choice remaining left a lot to be desired. This was the only negative of our cruise. Ti Chi on deck early the following morning and watching the sun rise was stunning. Tea, coffee and pastries for the early risers with a full breakfast served later in the morning was absolutely fine.

Review of: Indochina Sails
We thoroughly enjoyed our Halong Bay cruise on Indochina sails. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our time on the boat a memorable one. Our time was well planned. We had two off the boat excursions, one cooking demonstration and squid fishing at night. There was no time to be bored! The food was delicious and our room was very comfortable. I would highly recommend Indochina Sails.

We saw this boat online a lot. I would do your research, there's a lot of trips out there. We booked the highest package and room yet found out the year before had several more activities for the same cost which did cause concern they're relying on reviews while cutting costs. The drinks are incredibly expensive, and at times there felt like little else to do. Real shame. I cannot compliment the staff more though, they were all incredible. Do not miss the area, and you will not find nicer people.

Review of: Indochina Sails
We booked a trip along Ha Long Bay directly when booking the holiday, through booking.com, not through any kind of travel agent in Hanoi or Ha Long. We knew there were many different ones, my husband chose Indochina due to their reputation and even though the price was not the cheapest, I felt we got our money's worth and enjoyed ourselves. We took the one night, two days' cruise on a smaller junk with 15 rooms, though only about 7 or 8 were occupied on our cruise, leading to a comfortable atmosphere with not too many people on the junk. We had a suite with balcony on the top floor, room was comfortable with surprisingly large bathroom given we were on a ship and the staff took care of our comfort wonderfully. The food was lovely, cocktais at the bar too, there were activities to do and there was time to enjoy it all and the beautiful views. We had a great experience and really enjoyed ourselves.
