My husband and I joined a group of 2 other couples on Nov 17 for the street food tour led by Johnny "Walker" - whom we dubbed he unofficial "mayor" of the Old Quarter as he seems to know everyone!). We've been traveling around Asia for the past month and a half and so far this is one of the... More

We went on a Food on Foot tour operated by Vietnam Awesome Travel on November 12 in Hanoi Old Quarter. Our energetic guide was Chinh and with a group of 6 people we visited 8 family run restaurants in the Old Quarter. We ate until our bellies were beyond full! We sampled the best pho bo, noodles with fried eel,... More

Part of a group (max 8 persons) walking thru the Old Quarter of Hanoi experiencing 5 different restaurants, plus a cafe, that one would probably not find easily on your own. We went to: 1. 12 Dinh Liet Street - bun cha (vermicelli noodle with grilled pork) and nem ran (fried spring rolls). By far the best stop on this... More

We met a group of friends whilst on a Halong Bay tour and decided to meet up on our lady night in Hanoi to do a street food tour. Glad we chose this. Trang our host was brilliant, knowledgeable and great fun. We only booked 2 hours before and they were able to accommodate a (very lively!) private group of... More

Make sure not to eat too much before you head on this tour because you are going to experience A LOT of delicious food. And if you're lucky, Chinh will be your guide. Chinh took myself and one other person on a culinary adventure through the streets of the Old Quarter. I managed to tick off just about every type... More

It was a small group - just 5 of us - led by Lily, who is a fantastic, always-smiling food guide and an intrepid street crosser. Lily took care of all the ordering and payments, and even dished out the food in even amounts for each of us. We must have tried at least 10 different dishes, including all the... More

My girlfriend, a friend and myself had booked the tour and we started together with 2 other couples. In the beginning we were asked what we could imagine to eat and what not. We tried a Lot of different Food at about 10 Places and learned about daily Life in Hanoi. It was a very funny evening and a great... More

Such a fantastic way to get into the thick of the buzz that is Hanoi... We went on an early morning tour with our great guide Johnny. With a 5am start the city was just waking and the streets where quiet and easy to navigate. The route took us around and through the city streets passing by the main attractions... More

It was really really really nice and good!!!! We had a great guide named Chinh 'morning glory' ;) and and we learned a lot about the Vietnamese food and Hanoi!!! The food we had was great and a bargain for the price, it is impossible to eat everything!
