In December you can see 1000's of xmas decorations for sale here, perhaps more than i have ever seen in any other country. It is really colorful during this time but the 500 year old street normally sells children's toys and paper votive offerings. I guess during Xmas time you would have to go inside and ask for these items.

Hàng Mã street in Hanoi's Old Quarter has been selling paper votives and other papers goods for over 500 years! They also sell seasonal holiday decorations, like Halloween stuff , birthday baloons and since I was there in December the street was filled with Christmas decor. It is a street that you can haggle prices provided you are with a local. I visited with a tour guide who bargained the price for my party balloons.

One of the amazing things of old town is each street has its specialty's, this one specialises in all things religious, like paper motifs to burn for the ancestors, also christmas gets a big showing here, it was so cool, seeing polar bears, santa claus and the like. Definitely worth-a walk down.

We visited Hang Ma Street on 7 Jan 2023 and were very amazed at the red color there which is the lucky color of the Lunar New Year. They sell on the street and motorcycles has smaller space to pass.

A strange places where you can discover the worship custom of Vietnamese people, this place sell votive paper and other paper things which people use to burn; in other word, they were giving it to the ancestor in the other side world
