At first, after the super cheap spa's in Thailand and other parts of Asia, I was hesitant to book a treatment at Qi. But after reading a couple reviews on TA, I decided I was worth it! It was amazing. $100'ish for 4 hours of being totally and completely spoiled in what felt like a 4 or 5 star spa (which I think would be much more than what I paid at Qi - i.e. The Hilton). Very professional staff. Clean, peaceful, relaxing ambiance. I would return for sure!

There might be less expensive massages in Hanoi, but you'll have trouble finding one that offers the full experience Qi does for 39 USD.

After checking in at the front desk, you're ushered into a spotless, tasteful, aromatic prep room with a hot tub, cold pool, steam room and sauna (I can attest only to the men's side). They send a kid with you to make sure you have everything you need. During the half-hour spent changing, steaming, soaking and chilling out, he's always present when you need something (i.e. hmmm...I wonder if that kid will come back to activate the jets on the whirlp...never mind, he just did), but invisible when you're relaxing in private. Kid has talent.

The masseuse was very capable though not all-world. The treatment room was pleasant, quiet and private -- something I value more than I should, but it's nice not to have roommates when you're decompressing.

When it's all over, you're handed a large glass of watermelon juice before you're even off the table.

You can pay a lot more and probably increase your pleasure intake by 10 percent. You can also save 20 bucks somewhere else, but will likely find yourself in an assembly line of flesh.

Or you can go to Qi and get serious value.
