I had a good trip with my friend. We started from Asia Group Tour office about 7.30 am. The room is verry clean, friendly staff and profestional guide After lunch at 12.30, we check in with deluxe bungalow. Wow, our room is so best, large, cool and have good mountain and fields view We start join bike trip about 2 hours through the Mai Chau village and green field. It's really good experience There is a plus point for the trip about Thai traditional dance after dinner, I tried dance with local people and drank "ruou can" In the second day, after have breakfast and check out, we leave Mai Chau and go to Pu Luong, I trekking in 3.5 hours, same about 7km through village and terraced fields After have lunch, I returned Mai Chau and back to Hanoi by bus Good exprience

This was a long day trip from Hanoi for the three day tourists and many others taking an overnight trip. Stops were made each way for a drink and on the way out at Thung Khe Pass. Here stalls were set up at the side of the road selling various foodstuffs. One lady who dared enter the toilets out of desperation, warned against it. Once we reached Mai Chai, we had lunch before the three of us set off around the paddy field for a great one hour cycle. It was the first time in 50 years that I have cycled but you don’t forget. We then set off on our long trip back to Hanoi after a very worthwhile day.

We did this 3 day tour as all reviews say the 1 day trip is not enough. The drive there and back is about 3 hours - very pleasant views and interesting stop offs. We stayed at the Mai Chau Sunset Village - despite mixed reviews we found this to be in an amazingly stunning location, wonderful rooms but the food was just average. The sightseeing was tremendous - bike riding around the rice paddies and mountains, lots of treks up and down hills in Pu Luong and very special walks with our local guide called Son who took us to the nearby villages and included a visit to his own home. There are kitsch touristy shops, but if you go for the natural unspoiled beauty of the place it is hard to beat including a visit to an unbelievable spectacle of a bamboo chopstick making "factory". One great surprise was hiring motor bikes to ride in the back streets which our whole family really enjoyed. Overall, highly recommended.

Booked a one day trip to Mai Chau and it included a local lunch and cycling activity where you get to see farmers work on the rice paddy fields. Love the slow pace of life there and would love to return for an overnight stay or a homestay next time. Tip for cycling: Be very careful of the rocky paths and steep slopes there! I had a bad fall while cycling, but thanks to the friendly locals in Mai Chau (and my guide Dam), they provided much assistance that made me felt better.

I knew nothing about this area when we booked out day trip, but despite the few hour bus ride in each direction we loved it, and the ride was very much worth it. The lunch they provided when we arrived was excellent, with lots of veggies options too. Our guide, Kenny, was just great, and took us on such a fun bike tour. Seeing the lovely mountains, rice paddies and streams was just unforgettable, and being able to cycle through the area and check out the little villages and weaving centres was such a great experience. I highly recommend it!
