I bought a moped from Tony at his shop. He seemed super helpful and nice at first, but I was very naive as this was my first time buying a bike. He lied about the year of the bike. I didn't notice until 3 days later and tried to return it. He told me there was 1 month warranty and made other false promises about the bike, but when I returned it he wouldn't buy it back for a fair rate and admitted that he lied to me. I've recently read other reviews where he has tried to swap out bikes after people buy them. Stay away from Tony at 31 Phuc Tan!

Tony is probably the worst guy when it comes to motorbikes. We agreed about a price and told him that we will pick up the bikes next morning. He came with three different bikes but they looked fine.
After a couple of hours I realized that there was something wrong with the gas and even worse, with the breaks as well. Sometimes my rear brake didn’t work at all, which is probably the most dangerous issue because the front break was pretty weak as well.
So we fixed other things and decided to sell the bikes after three weeks.
He promised me, that he will buy the bikes for a good price (I showed him a screenshot from his advert on travelswop.com)
Before we arrived in Hanoi I text him a couple of times, but he never replied. So I started to annoy him until he said, he will buy them for 60% back. He also sent me a screenshot where it says that he buys the bikes in Hanoi for 65-70%.
When we arrived in Hanoi he suddenly started to play stupid and wanted to tell me, that he thought we were going to HCM (I showed him all the screenshots). Of course he kept playing stupid. After we finally negotiated a price, he gave us the money in cash but got really nervous because other customers were around.
The worst was probably, that he laughed when I told him about the issue with the breaks. They never checked the motorbikes at all.
Please be careful with this guy.

Bad experience. I bought a motorbike here and after few km, it started vibrating and the electronics stopped working. I had to fix to get back, I told them what they have to fix, we arranged a time but when I came, the motorbike was still on the same place. I came next day and they repaired about 60% of the things I told them about. I also gave them a list of things. I had to repair it by myself even when the motorbike had 1 month warranty. The mechanics didn't care. They were playing on their phones and I was just walking in the workshop and I grabbing tool so that I can do it myself. And they were so nice when they were trying to sell the motorbike. Better to go somewhere else.

After taking various bikes in Hanoi for a test ride and finding two at 'Vietnam Motorbike' that were in good condition we messaged Tony and agreed on a fair price. When we went to pick up the bikes in the evening, we paid and when the second bike returned from having some final repairs made I noticed that the bike wasn't the same bike I'd test ridden and checked over earlier. The sneaky f$&(:r had tried to pass off another, similar looking bike that was in s&$t condition and that I had never even ridden to me without me noticing. Needless to say I lost my $h/t and demanded my payment back and got out of there asap. Save yourself the hassle and don't even waste your time with this guy, there's plenty of other bike shops in town.
