Taxi in Hanoi

I am not sure about the company associated with the taxies who made us feel uncomfortable, but Hanoi and in a greater scale the whole Vietnam has lots of dishonest and canning taxi drivers. We were overcharged 3 times. As a frequent traveller who has visited 26 countries in the world at age 34, such attitude was completely unacceptable. One of them had manipulated the taximeter and asked us an unbelievably high amount for taxi fare, and when we objected and resisted, he took my friend's hand not letting her get out of his damn car!We were scared, shocked and stressed. I took a photo from cars numberplate and went to police station to report it but they didn't help us. I was profoundly disappointed. Considering that the city doesn't have much to tour, I highly suggest you: forget about Hanoi and try Much more beautiful cities in Thailands and Indonasia.
