They give crap service and when we try to get in contact with them they do not respond. So don’t go with them. There are many other providers

We were on a tour with an option to go on a Halong Bay Tour. Before we left our Tour Guide arranged for about 10 of us to be on the Apricot. Because we were on a Budget Friendly Trip they book us on a budget friendly cruise. I believe this cost us $120usd person based on double occupancy. We took the 2 day/1 night from Hanoi. Our guide was Ling Le picked us up at the hotel in Hanoi. Ling was very informative & friendly but did drop the ball on a few things. Like sleeping in instead of being at the Thai Chi class at 6:15am. There were a lot of upset guests. The Boat rooms were okay. Nothing special but at least they were clean. The beds were comfy and the bedding was soft. The water from the shower runs all over the bathroom and makes the tile or marble very slippery. The towels feltl like velour which is not good for drying off. It was equipped with western toilets. Even though you are on the boat until 12:30pm the following day. They kick you out of the rooms at 9:30am. Which would have been nice to still get to use a clean bathroom. The public one on the boat was beyond disgusting plus the door did not close and they were out of hand soap. Food was really good and they took food allergy and sensitivities very serious. They served it family style per table. The bartender was never around. Most of the stuff on their snack menu was not in stock. They try to keep you extremely busy where we wanted to relax. Over 2 days/1 night There was hike through the caves, hike to the top of tea top mountain or beach time if you want a cold dip. Squid fishing (if it’s in season), karaoke, spring roll making, Thai chi, kayaking & visit to a pearl farm. Kayaking in the Bay was the highlight of this experience. So didn’t leave a ton of time to site back and enjoy the stunning views of Halong Bay. I started bowing out of things so I could take pictures and just relax. The caves were neat but there was thousands of tourists there all pushing and shoving. When we were leaving the caves and heading to the mountain on Tea Top Island we had a bunch of locals jump on board with us. Who were departing on Tea Top Island. They took all the chairs on the outside deck leaving all the paying guests standing around. Plus there is already not enough outside chairs to have all the guests sitting at one time. 25 guests and 16 outside chairs. There was also lots of open space to have the minimum amount of chairs. My mother & father- in-law and myself decided to stay on board at tea top island how we were tired from going threw the caves. Plus were sick of the crowds. We sat in the dining room waiting for my spouse to return from the hike and one of our crew member fell asleep on one of the dining room tables about 30 mins. I do highly recommend doing a tour of Halong bay but I think it is best for you to know what you want from your experience before booking.

My trip in Halong was absolutely the highlight of the whole experience traveling through this tiny country, it was phenomenally organized by our tour operator Bobby who put so much effort to make us comfortable. The boat’s design seemed to be a little old but was well maintained and clean. We got no complaint at all about the boat itself. Food was great plenty of them so do not worry at all, they will treat you full. Looking forward to coming back. Thanks

Probably there is no need for me to tell you about the beauty of Halong bay. It's better for you to discover it by yourself. Overall this was an amazing experience in Halong Bay. Everything was well organized by our tour guide and Apricot. We got on the boat that we had expected which was the apricot premium and it didn't make us disappointed at all. Our stay was big enough and comfortable. Food was plenty and staff was certainly exceptional. Didn't stop from that, our tour guide Bobby was for sure the highlight of this trip. He literally went out of his comfort zone to make us have the best experience ever. He was such a nice guide with fabulous knowledge of his country. Thank you Bobby for being such a legend.
