We spent 2 nights aboard Dragon Legend. It was a lovely relaxing trip with an amazing scenic backdrop. The food was plentiful - staff amazing, helpful, friendly - rooms large and comfortable. I would highly recommend this to everyone. Early November - weather was perfect.

I went on a 3 day / 2 night cruise. In summary I had an ok time, but by far the worst part was the connecting transport to and from Hanoi, which feels like it takes most of the trip... On the way there, the...More

I was on the lower deck at the end of the hall (back of boat) and it was super quiet. I was traveling solo and requested a single room, but my room was still huge with a king bed and jacuzzi.

Can't decide. Ha Long Bay Cruise (5 Replies)
After a lot of back and forth and deliberations,we have narrowed down to Paradise, Orchid, Mon Cherie and Azalea, and Dragon Legend. Since there is very little differentiation, would like to know your experiences. We will be staying 2 days and 1 night.

Hi Sandie, "I was hoping to get to Sapa as all the reviews sound lovely, but think it might be too much of a squeeze?" Yep, don't try to fit anymore in. Travel is slow and time consuming over there. Even when flying. You may want to research your Day 2, a little. It's going to involve a fair bit of travel time, and I'm not sure about the logistics of doing both on the same day anyway. Also, October can be very wet in the central region, so perhaps have a Plan B (just in case) for the Hoi...More
