We booked Bhaya Legend for a two night three day excursion in April 2023. The onboard hospitality offered by Kevin and team (Duc (our bartender) and Duc (our chef)) was brilliant! The entire itinerary was brilliantly planned and executed. The team was careful, cheerful and very hospitable.
Brilliant overall, we recommend chartering services of Bhaya Legend, the private boat to enjoy the beauty of Ha Long Bay.

Me and my husband went in February 2020 this year to travel Vietnam for our honeymoon straight after our wedding. Best choice we had done is arranged with our travel agent to have booked few tours and packages which one of them included a 1 night cruise on the bhaya classic cruise. This was a beautiful relaxing cruise. We arrived on port where we were provided a nice drink and introduced to the manager of the cruise boat, we were then taken on deck to our cruise boat and introduced to the lovely team who were going to be taking us on along the Harlong bay cruise. We arrived around lunch time so lunch was served on the cruise, since we were vegetarian, they were very mindful of our dietary requirements and brought us a variety from entree to desert to our table. The food was delicious. Throughout the day/night we were able to enjoy the view in getting use to the rooms and sitting on deck and ordering drinks, snacks and mingling with other guest on board. Entertainment in the evening included a spring roll challenge with the chef and other guest and then a enjoyable vegetarian dinner again catered for our needs. With a surprise arrangement that was made with the manager as it was our honeymoon, a special dessert drinks we provided to us which as lovely. Even tho the cabin room was a little small, with own private en-suite, it was decorated beautifully with decoration and appears boutique looking. Following day arrangement was to view the cave, however the weather was not helpful to go inside therefore, we were unable to go and arrived back to port earlier.

Vietnam has officially re-opened its borders to welcome foreign travelers starting March 16th, 2022. All you need is:
- The proof of COVID-19 negative test using the RT-PCR method 72 hours before entering Vietnam OR a rapid Antigen test (no self-test) 24 hours before entering Vietnam (not applicable for children under 2 years old).
- In case a COVID-19 test is not taken prior to departure, a test will be taken within 24 hours after arriving in Vietnam. If negative, travelers can travel anywhere within Vietnam; no quarantine is required.

We booked onto a 3 day Bhaya cruise. It was a small boat with only 3 other guests. It was an amazing experience with 4 course meals for lunch and dinner, cocktails on demand. The staff put on various activities such as spring roll making lessons or Tai Chi. The team looked after us all very well and we loved our time. The guide knew all of the quieter times to visit caves/kayaking which made a big difference. The rooms are comfortable but not glamorous (to be expected on a traditional wooden boat). Do not expect luxuries such as hot water or Wi-Fi in the rooms, but with the amazing views this did not matter to us and it was good to switch off from phones. I would advise checking the group size when you book, as we had a group of 5 which the one person not in a couple was not expecting. Also bring everything you will need (toiletries etc) as there is no opportunity to buy anything once on the boat.

My husband and I had the most beautiful experience cruising the Ha Long Bay with Bhaya Classic 1. The staff were most attentive and Henry (our boat manager) attended diligently to our every need.
The views were spectacular and the activities were enjoyable (especially the cave visits). But it was the food that was exceptional, we were spoilt for choice. My husband is a vegetarian and thanks to Levi his dietary requirements were completely met. Everything was so tasty! A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. Bhaya cruises are exceptional.
The views were spectacular and the activities were enjoyable (especially the cave visits). But it was the food that was exceptional, we were spoilt for choice. My husband is a vegetarian and thanks to Levi his dietary requirements were completely met. Everything was so tasty! A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. We had an overnight stay on the boat. The rooms were far nicer than we expected not much room/space but lovely and clean. The shower was cold though which suited me but my partner prefers a hot shower. We had some lovely excursions to the caves, kayaking which was such fun. The place was so beautiful probably the most beautiful place we visited in Vietnam during our trip. The sunrise was amazing to see but we felt the boat drove off too early and we didn’t get to see as much of the sunrise as we would’ve liked fun cooking class making spring rolls.
The food ok, it was beetroot soup which I’d normally love but it was a bit bland. The green salad with tuna and quail was really fresh and tasty, the hot stone prawns were really tasty. I had the squid main but the squid was really over cooked and chewy. My partner also found the beef a bit chewy. None of our group liked the dessert banana flambé at all it just wasn’t nice or to our taste, tasted of over ripe bananas which wasn’t that pleasant.
The staff and service was excellent. The first mate was a lovely young man and we really enjoyed the banter with him and the laughs saying I was going to phone his mum to her her he was naughty which gave us such a giggle.
I got to swim and it was lovely to get in the china sea with such a beautiful background but the sea was far too warm for a cold water swimmer like myself.
If you ever go to Vietnam this a location you should definitely visit it’s absolutely beautiful.

There were 3 couples on board....all unknown to each other.....but equally could be a group, which was just perfect, we had a fabulous time due to the great staff, fantastic food and manager who arranged everything for us.
The food was plentiful and catered for my allergies and not eating red meat, if there was anything to say about the cruise, perhaps too much food for us. Well stocked fridge with alcohol and soft drinks and watching the sun rise in Halong Bay will stay in my memory forever.

What a way to spend three days than onboard the fantastic Au Co 1 boat. My family and I had two great cabins, very clean and spacious, with good outside space. Onboard crew manger Joy looked after our every need, keeping us all occupied and well informed of events. Out and about Andrew kept us on check on our excursions. Nothing was too much trouble for this crew, they even went as far as to transfer my family and I back to the port slightly ahead of the main boats arrival to give us an extra 30 mins travel time due to a last minute flight change. (We made the flight OK - thanks Joy). Seriously I fully recommend Au Co as a way to see the stunning scenery of Halong Bay, experts in every way.

This was hands down the best experience I have ever had in my life. Kevin and Duc Provided top notch service and knowledge. They got us in places before all of the crowds. We took the three room boat with friends and I highly recommend it if you would like a personal and spiritual experience and ha long bay.

We booked our trip through Tour East of Toronto and they included this over night cruise in Halong Bay which was an unexpected highlight. Halong Bay is a very popular tourist destination yet somehow Eric and his crew managed to help us experience the uniqueness of this very special place. They are also very conscious of tending to and improving the quality of the environment and included their guests in the care of the area by giving them the option to gather refuse as they kayaked - this made us feel that we could give back in some small way. The rooms were lovely, the crew well trained, enthusiastic and personable. We would do this again with Bhaya classic tour. Thank you Eric and crew!

Service on board was excellent, especially Chan who was in charge of the dining room, she always greeted us upon arrival and always ensured that we had what we needed. I highly recommend Brayan Cruises for anyone visiting Ha Long Bay they plan very good excursions along your cruise and the service is outstanding. Smiley the bartender was also excellent remembering my preferences.

What kind of international food is served on board? I do not like noodles, pasta, seafood, cheese, mushrooms, etc. and tend to stick to a simple diet.

Me gustaria saber si tienen algun camarote con balcon privado y/o jacuzzi dentro de la habitacion y que precio tendra esta. Planeamos ir con mi hija y nos gustaria investigar cual es el mejor para nosotros.
Nos gustaria tambien saber el tamano de sus habitaciones para dos personas, asi como precio de los mismos con balcon y jacuzzi.

Hi, we did the one night cruise. There was no safe but felt cabin was secure enough. We did the floating village on day one. You could kayak there yourself (got a bit wet!) or sit in the rowing boat and be taken there (and not get wet). Me and my husband were in one kayak and you get to have a much better look round.
We did the cave visit the next morning and there was a small boat that made two trips to take everyone.
There was time to do every activity including cooking, fishing and Tai Chi!
It was cooler in the evenings but still didn’t need any extra clothing to keep warm.

Hi I cant swim is there an option on the 1 night cruise where people take you on a boat for the cave AMD fishing village? Are trainers recommended when getting off the boat? How much roughly is red wine beer on happy hour?

Hi, I did the one night cruise in April. You have an option to kayak to the fishing village or be taken in a rowing boat, so no effort needed!
You’re taken to the caves by boat.
Trainers are ok but flip flops are probably better for the fishing village in case your feet get a bit wet. They’re fine for the caves.
Wine was quite expensive but beer was ok, can’t remember the exact prices but worth making the most of happy hour!!
