This a a must visit spot in Da Lat. It's quite far from the central of Dalat, you can rent motorbike to go there.

The area is quiet and peaceful. The lake is gorgeous, we can sit near there and stared at the lake for more than an hour. You can take photo without using any filter but still can see it's beauty.

We went to a near by coffee shop and enjoy the natural beauty of the lake.

I took the boat across the lake to Dalat Edensee resort so I had the chance to view half of the lake area, then I drove the kayak from the resort to discover the areas surrounding the lake. The lake's landscape is still untouched and ethereal. Wonderful place for self-reflection and reconnection with the nature.

This is a large and lovely lake, set aside from the hubbub of city life. Here, you can take gentle walks, have a meal or drinks at one of the restaurant facilities, and take a pedalo and enjoy the views from the middle of the lake. All very pleasant.

The boat trip was stunning. Really feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere. They don't cater to vegetarians, unfortunately, however, we thoroughly enjoy the setting and spent a wonderful hour drinking tea at the water's edge.

If I were a tourist, I probably wouldn't make a point to get out here. But, if you're here as we were several times, it's a fun place to hang out with the locals and eat great "street" food and have coffee in a very pleasant environment. It's also easy to get here via the cable car. It's a very short walk from the nearby pagoda and the cable car station.

The whole area around the lake is quite and you can enjoy peace here. It's a ideal place for practicing Zen and there is also a famous pagoda nearby to visit. They practicing zen for years and I've spent time there.

Tuyen lam lake is absolutely the must visited one when you traveling in Dalat. we enjoyed our time when we climbed up happy hill and take a deep breath. It will so much better when you rent a motorbike to discover around this beautiful and specific lake. Would highly recommend when you have a chance to visit.

I biked to Tuyen Lam Lake for birding (on my rented bike) and found the place to be quite enchanting and so peaceful in the early morning (before 7am). The first thing that struck me was a series of man-made "waterfalls", quite unlike anything I've seen before. That's just before I reach the lake. It would have been nice to have a cup of coffee at the cafe located at the bottom of the artificial falls. At the top of this "waterfall" was the dam, with roads going to the left and right. Because it was early in the morning, there was no one around and it was just so serene to be staring out into the lake. Great for photos too. Later on in the day, it will not be so picturesque because the locals will start setting up their coffee stalls and there will be more visitors.

I took the road to the left and had a really lovely drive all the way to the end. There are nooks and corners where you can catch lovely views of the lake and its surroundings. There are also some cafes/restaurants clustered together catering mainly to tourists. Move away from these places and you will enjoy the genuine Lake Tuyen Lam.

I decided to explore one location that looked interesting to me (it was really in the middle of nowhere) and I was not wrong. I climbed up this hill I found, expecting to find a power station or something like that. Instead, I found a big cross and shrine erected on the top of the hill - what an unexpected "holy" find!

I went to the other side of the dam in the late morning and it had some good views too ... but not as good as the views on the left. But I did not go all the way to the end.

So in short, rent a bike, go in the early morning and enjoy the peace and serenity that the lake provides in the early morning. I would suggest you buy some banh mi and cafe sua da and have a very local breakfast on the dam. Dam, that would be lovely!!

My private car driver drove me to a place named "cao ying" for lunch at this lake side. Its windy to have lunch at lake side and we paid for the view at VDN 1.3mil for 3 adult for one Fish hot pot and pork BBQ with some rice. For me, this really not worth with that price. Hence, please just stop by to visit instead of having meal at lake side.

We passed by the lake on our way out of Truc Lam Pagoda. We stopped by the
lake to take some photos and didn’t venture into boat sailing.
