We had a great one-day trip around Dalat with a wonderful and experienced guide. It was a fantastic ride through the beautiful countryside, and we stopped at many fascinating sights along the way.
We enjoyed the ride very much and can highly recommend it.
It is an amazing way to explore Vietnam and get local insights.

BLOODY AWESOME!
It's a phrase An uses himself and a perfect way to describe the adventure I had with him and his friend, Aki.
Starting in Dalat, myself, my friend and An and Aki embarked on a three day journey that would turn out to be the best time of our lives. There are are many easy rider groups though I believe these guys are the best "easy riders" - their experience and local knowledge is what truly sets this trip apart from the normal tourist tours.
An served in the South Vietnamese army and is constantly providing information about the war and the importance of the areas we pass by. Both An and Aki also have great connections with all the locals in the towns we visit which leads to getting the best quality food (at local price) and coffee!
The three day tour included overnight stops in the Dak Lak area and krong Kama. In between this you will be riding through the most green mountains you will ever see, stopping at waterfalls and visiting local businesses such as silk and rice factories.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. My friend and I were a little hesitant at first though we can't imagine what kind of Vietnam trip this would have been without doing this! You will feel safe from the very start and will have a smile on your face for the rest of the trip.

We are backpackers and would recommend anyone to do this trip, or any bike trip with Anton! He knows a lot, telling me about the landscape and stopping frequently to tell stories and show us all sorts of factories and non-touristy local sights - in fact we only saw 2 other tourists in 3 days! The places he showed us were not places many other people would get to visit, if that is the experience you are after, which we were - awesome!
Scenery is amazing, and breathtaking, and Anton and Lan, our guides, and friends, were supportive and helpful!
The meals were very reasonably priced, and we stayed in beautiful, clean, fresh bungalows, each with a stunning location and home cooking.
Our 3 day trip from Da lat to Nha Trang was with Anton and Lan, alongside my boyfriend - best decision we made this trip!
Anton is a very safe driver, not once did I feel unsafe, and the trip is taken as leisurely as you like - we had frequent stops for sights which was perfect!
We are backpacking through Vietnam for 1 month, and I recommend if you are wary of spending the money, cut out from somewhere else, but don't cut out this trip :)

THE GUIDE
We've researched multiple Dalat easy rider groups. Noting that there are many similar ones around who claims to be the original, we met AN outside The Easy Rider's club where he approached us and introduced himself (as an original easy rider) and a motorbike tour around Dalat. He tried to convinced us further by showing us an old notebook with multiple hand written positive reviews about him from previous bike tours. AN even invited us to his house to view the motorbike which we will take on the trip. We felt obligated to sign up the trip with him for all that trouble. We were also pressed on to decide when to start and paid a deposit so he could get everything ready(as he claims) for our 3D2N trip from Dalat to NHA Trang. There was insufficient planning and communication about exactly where we would be staying or going until we reach the place. We had, on multiple occasion asked for the itinerary of our trip without given an exact answer. When we asked where we would be going in the morning, replies were always very general or just the final destination of the day. Sometimes, I asked how long to next stop(b'cos I needed to use the WC!), he would sometimes joking brushed me off by saying 9 hours later.... We paid for a private tour (110USD per day for the 2 of us, incl. entrance fees, tolls, lodging, exclu. Food/drinks). We were not given the itinerary of our travel and the whole trip felt very routined. However, after the trip, I felt being over promised and under delivered(-). But having said that, there are enjoyable parts of the trip too(+).
THE TRIP
- Old air base. Nothing's left, it's a huge farm now.
- The weasel poo coffee break was expensive and I could not tell the difference. We thought that the coffee beans (500k VND for 100g only) were expensive and decided not to buy but our local guide AN insisted that we could not get it for a lower price anywhere else, so(trusting our local guide), we bought a packet. We later realized that weasel poo coffee is extremely common in supermarkets/minimarts throughout Vietnam and at a much lower price (~100k VND for 500g bag). To be fair, after researching a bit we learned that fake weasel coffee is extremely rampant in Vietnam so it is likely that the weasel coffee sold in the stores is fake. However, even though the coffee place we visited had weasels in cages, we have no way of knowing if the coffee we bought (already roasted and bagged) is actually from the weasels.
- Empty Silk worm factory walk around. Local guide AN explained that it's the Dry season and there is no harvest of silk cocoons. The factory was EMPTY other than a few cocoons left on the ground.
- On the first night, AN claimed that we will be staying at a romantic place the following night, however, on the second day, he said that the chalet we were suppose to stay at was fully booked! That was very unprofessional of a guide. Conveniently, he brought us to a terrible guesthouse that was so dirty that it looked abandoned. There were insect/lizard droppings all over the sheer netting on top of the bed frame. My husband talk AN into getting us to another guesthouse that was better managed.
- Lunch at AN's friend place felt awkward and routined. We did not have much appetite as the meal was all fish dishes and my husband is not a fish fan, moreover, we had breakfast at around 9 and then lunch around 11.30am.
- We do not like being pressured into writing a review before the tour even ended.
+ Hotpot dinner on the 1st night was more delicious than any other restaurant we have visited in Dalat.
+ Rural way of river crossing was interesting. We rode the motorbike onto a small boat and the attendant on the boat pulls the boat over to the other bank using the rope that was hung across the 2 banks.
+ Rice wine making and tasting. That was interesting.
+ Flower farms.
+ Honey bee farm visit
+ Farmer collecting raw cashew nut.
+ Minority village visit
At the end of the trip, we thought we could provide some verbal feedback to help AN improve his tour, however, after collected the full payment, he was not longer interested in anything we wanted to say, he could not wait to bid us goodbye.
If you really would like to go for an easy rider trip, I suggest :
1) take time to review and choose your guide, do not get pushed into committing a deposit;
2) plan an itinerary with the guide of where you would like to go, not go along with a routine one that includes places which is not suitable for visit at that season;
3) wear sunscreen/long sleeves;
4) wear a bandana/cap to protect your hair from the smelly helmet;
5) do not buy like a tourist.

Hello Hazele_Scheppke.
Unfortunately you have posted this review to the wrong trip advisor site. AN is not apart of this tour group and he may have put you on to the wrong page.
I'm very credited as per my reviews and this 3 star affects me greatly, I would appreciate if you could find the correct page and post the review there.
If you should ever return to Dalat I would love to show you the real Vietnam.
Cam on, thanks, Peter Binh.

We meat Peter and thong at the bus station in Dalat after a hard bus ride. At first we were very annoyed because of all the people ambushing us. But Peter and thong were very nice and just tried to help us. They were not looking for a quick Đồng, they just wanted to help. So we decided to let them take them to a very cheap and nice hotel.
After they showed us what kind of tours they offer we thought that a trip with them might be ok. We are not disappointed.
We saw very nice countryside and a lot of very friendly people. They took us to some very nice waterfalls and we had a wonderful swim. We had great food that was not expensive at all.
If you are concerned about the safety: you do not have to worry. They are very experienced drivers and we never felled insecure.
To sum up. The trip is great and if you decide to do it you will be in for a treat.

anton thong thanks for a great day. The personal touch with seeing your farm and people you know made the trip more informaive. I enjoyed holding the weasel that helped make the delicious cup of coffee that I enjoyed. Rice wine right out of the still definitely has some kick. The waterfalls were spectacular and very serene atmosphere around the pagoda. I will definitely appreciate silk products more, after seeing the process from larvae to roll of silk thread. The Crazy House was a good try at a Gaudi imitation. Thanks again for a great day. anton and thongis definitely well known locally as well as providing multi day tours of Vietnam.
it is a very good trip that we recomend for every people

Absolutely phenomenal! Can say without a doubt this was the best experience of my Vietnam trip.
My friend and I travelled with two of the Easyrider guys, An "The Bushtucker Man" and Aky. On a whim, my friend and I decided to go on a motorcycle tour day trip around the Central Highlands surrounding Da Lat. However, we enjoyed the experience so much we decided to do another three days with An and Aki around rural Vietnam, eventually ending travelling to Nha Trang on the third day.
An speaks English very well, and has amazing knowledge and connections within the local communities. In our travels, we stopped at over 50 local communities, and An had connections in each. We saw local factories (rice, brick, cotton), ate local food (best. Ever) and were even invited into local homes. An has a South Vietnamese military background and gives incredible insight into the military history and locales of rural Vietnam. Aki is incredibly funny and is a genuinely caring and loving guy. They both make you feel incredibly safe and looked after the entire trip.
I saw some amazing sights, stayed the night in beautiful locations and this is an experience I won't ever forget.
HIGHLY recommend this to anybody staying in Vietnam. I can't imagine what I would have missed out on if I didn't take the chance on a whim. Don't worry about your luggage or bookings-An and Aki manage them all. Please, please do this tour! Best thing I've ever done-you won't regret it!

This has been my third trip with Peter and it was first class as always. Peter was attentive, helpful and worked incredibly hard to ensure we saw the real Vietnam, and as someone who has been living in Vietnam for two years this was most welcome. His knowledge of Vietnam's culture and history is matched only by his ability to provide the best local Vietnamese food (and coffee!). He and his companion Tuan are very safe, friendly and experienced drivers who constantly strive to take care of their guests.
I highly, highly recommend a tour with him to see the life and sights of a stunning country with a rich history first hand.

We travelled from Dalat to Hoi An with Easy Riders through the central highlands, with the best two guides Anton and Thien . The trip took 6 days and was outstanding. They took us off the tourist trail to alot of villages and homes of the locals. We ate some of the best food in Vietnam thanks to the boys and their local knowledge. They were both so knowledgable and passionate about their country and it was a real joy travelling with them. We stopped along the way to see the different crops being grown in each region and tried everything. They also took us in to local homes where the family made or grew things for market, things like rice cakes, rice wine, hand made drumbs, silk worms, pepper, coffee, fruit, the weirdist mushrooms we've ever seen....the list goes on. . The people are so friendly and the children so nice.. we just fell in love with them! The country side is so beautiful, and they took us places we would never have gone. We did and saw so much over those 6 days that it's impossible to write it all down. All we can say, is it was the best travelling experience we've ever had in Vietnam.
Thank very much

It is day 4 of our 6 day motor cycle trip. So far we have gone from Dalat to Komdum. Everything has been smooth sailing so far. We have seen so many awesome things and have been taking in endless amounts of information from our tour guide Peter Binh. He and his son Thien have a wealth of knowledge about their homeland. They have taken us to the best local food spots, never eating the same thing twice. The cuisine is out of this world. Everything is so fresh and colorful, much like their hospitality. Thank you Peter. We would highly recommend using you. Very professional. And thank you to Thien.
Looking forward to what the next few days has in store for us :)

Hello,
Do you need a Vietnamese license for this tour? I only have my travel docs with me, i.e passport and proof of age.
Thanks.

Hello Con
I rode pillion so didn't need a license. You can contact Peter the guide to ask. I did rent a bike in Nha Trang from another company and no license was needed - they just took a photo of my passport so I think you should be OK. The trip is amazing and a great way to see the real countryside of Vietnam - stunning scenery and lovely people.
