- DevlourentJakarta, Indonesia110 contributionsA new experience to be able to visit one of the inns designed by one of the architects from Vietnam. And a house concept that is indeed made out of the box, because when entering the house, we might get lost, because every corner is confusing. And there are some areas where the stairs are getting smaller and the stairs are in a fairly high position. So you could say you have to be careful too. In addition to being a tourist destination, we can also try staying here. Because it is indeed designed as an inn too. To enter here there is an entrance ticket fee. If you are visiting Da Lat, make sure to include it in your travel plans.Visited November 2024Traveled with friendsWritten November 19, 2024
- Кирилл С27 contributionsIf you're in Dalat - this is the place to visit. I would also stay here for a night. The rooms are unique and unusual. The place is bizarre in a good sense. I only don't know where they put the visitors luggage for a day. Because during the day the rooms are half open - so that visitors could take a look inside. No suiitcases, no luggage, no personal belongings inside. Where do they put it?Visited October 2024Traveled soloWritten October 27, 2024
- claude VHalle, Belgium194 contributionsAtypical construction that deserves a visit, very busy place and guaranteed scramble. Many groups but the decor is really very special and friendly. We had a preference for the very kitsch sea floor. Right across the street there is a small cafe selling wafers to fall.Visited March 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten March 12, 2025
- AllanTexas43 contributionsIt was nice to do something a little different. And this place is definitely that. If you like artcitecture you will love a visit to this unique house. aND you can even stay. I peeked into some of the rooms and they looked half decent. Not sure of the cost though?Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 29, 2024
- Mirjam GAmsterdam, The Netherlands2,058 contributionsSurprisingly fun to visit. It's a crazy thing. A mix between Efteling and Gaudi. What an architectural masterpiece. You're out of your mind. The rooms look super nice too. If it's booked you can't view it and otherwise it's open and you can look behind a gate.Visited February 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten February 14, 2025

This bar structure is amazing, but one of the barmen is incredibly rude. Doesn't smile at all and before the closing time was already refusing to put some songs, answering in a very bad tone. Total buzzkill. The drinks are expensive and is only worth it for the maze, not for drinks or dancing 👎

I felt it was oke. Suitable for Instagrammers and kids as it feels like a playground. Can surely take some nice pics in there. So, for families I would strongly recommend it, while for solo travelers I would say it’s optional depending on your interest. It doesn’t have much cultural value. If you go, I think it’s worth paying the entrance fee of 60,000 VND and going inside because from the outside you can’t really grasp the building. It’s a lot larger than I first expected.

This place is amazing a lot of work and intrigue and very unique.it has a lot of stairs but is very interesting especially the under the sea part. There is a great little cafe among the quirky setting and it appears that you can also stay here- rooms set up but not sure. This is a real whimsical place- love it

What an imagination. No rhyme nor reason to any of the structures and the linking of each. The designer obviously knew what she was doing but I defy anyone else to interpret it. However if you don’t go you won’t be able to offer an opinion

The architecture and imagination of the designer/owner of Crazy house is brilliant. A crazy maze of walkways leading to different areas such as an underwater scene. Well worth a visit to this quirky place especially if you have children. We were surprised to learn that you can actually stay here. Think it would be quite eery at night!!

We happened to stumble on this historical museum as we ventured onto our various escapades in Vietnam. Crazy House is a unique magical place to be. The attraction was designed by architect Dang Viet Nga who is the daughter of Dang Huu Phuc, who was the vice president of Vietnam from 1992-2001. The features of the Crazy House resembles that of a fairy-like structure. You have to be physically there to experience the twisting staircases and detailed designs of maze-like corridors, fantasy rooms and hidden breathtaking landscapes. It's just impressive being immersed in the creativity of it all. A great place for tourists, architects and art lovers to explore unconventional designs. The entrance fee is quite affordable.

This place designed by artist/architect Đặng Việt Nga who's 80 and still adding to this place. She acknowledges the Gaudi/Dali influences but seems to take to new levels. I'm not a fan of that surrealist stuff but got to admire this woman's dogged determination to get it built, and it's still growing. Problem with metal, concrete, paint as building materials is you'll need a full time maintinance team repairing, touching up, especially with several hundred ppl passing through daily, which by looks of it, I don't think they have.
There's also rooms you can book but again, no quiet snoozing on balcony with half of DaLat passing thru.
Definitely worth a trip though ...

Located 2KM from the city, we walked all the was to crazy house with a baby stroller. It was bit difficult to cross the road as the city has no traffic lights but after some 30 mins we made it. Crazy house is really crazy a real architecture wonder. Some part of the crazy house looks unsafe for unaccompanied kids. Toilets and small shops are available next the attraction. The only problem was it looks very crowded maybe they could consider limiting number of people entering into the building. It looks very unsafe when it was crowded. But still worth visiting!

The aptly named house is a labyrinth of stairs and paths that interconnect and soar between the buildings in the complex. We had fun retracing our steps to try and cross every path. However, we went in the afternoon and it was very crowded. In most places the path is only wide enough for one person and many spots don't have much of a guardrail, so it was nerve-wracking trying to pass other people. I recommend going early to miss the crowds.
They are building a new section in the back that looks like it will double the size of the complex. I was pretty done with it after an hour so I don't know that I would want to do more, but maybe that will help with the crowding.

This was my forth stay at the Crazy House and it just gets better and better. You have to realise that this is a very eccentric homestay, it is not a hotel and for that reason it's a bit rough and ready around the edges. The staff were really helpful and their English was brilliant and they were really helpful and good at informing me about the history of the building and the life of the architect. Kids would absolutely love this place.

Hi,
Yup you can stay there. Nice rooms and I think it would be comfy for 2 pax. But you will have to get use to having lots of people there as people go there to look around and take photos.

Is this place an actual hotel? I'm looking to travel to Da Lat in early February and was thinking about staying here.
Thanks!

Is it a kid friendly place? Lots of walking up and down the stairs? I plan to go there with my 3 y.o girl.
TIA

Your child will love it. You will have to be careful though as some of the walkways are high. There are still lots to see and through the eyes of a 3 years old he/she will be mesmerised. Well worth the 50,000 dong entrance fee and maybe less for your child. Enjoy

Уважаемые туристы ! Напишите, пожалуйста, кто жил в этом отеле,

Hello Mr./Ms. Assel R,
Crazy house is not only a seeing-spot, it is also a hotel. Every room you visited is for rent as a hotel. However, we should remind you that it may be noisy during daytime because there are many tourists arrive to Crazy house every day. Nevertheless, in contrast, it is very peaceful at night, you can even hear the sound of frogs, crickets outside.
In addition, in order to ensure the privacy, everytime we have guests staying room, the room will close for public, it means visitors can not see inside room. The check in time is after 2 Pm and check out time is before 12 PM.
Should you have any question or request, please feel free to email to us!
Best regards,
Crazy house team
