1st you must take the cable car to the Pagoda. It is not mandatory but if you arrive by taxi or bus you will miss a spectacular ride and view of DaLat. The ride is just 40,000 D one way or 70,000 D return. Warning...if you take the cable car back you may have to walk to the central bus station to find a taxi....about 10 min all down hill. Now for the Pagoda.....it is absolutely breathtaking. Not so much for the Pagoda itself but for the surrounding gardens. It is beautifully landscaped with flowers, forest, walkways and vistas of the mountainous area. Vietnamese families come here not only to worship but to walk the grounds and to picnic. Highly recommended for an escape from the city.

One of the most beautiful pagodas I have seen
Free entry with many beautiful buildings in a peaceful park like setting with ponds, gardens and flowers everywhere.
You need 2-3 hours to see this place.
Don’t miss this!

The grounds here are very peaceful and can spend a couple hours walking around. Be forewarned - they do require conservative clothes, men and women. Shorts are not recommended. They do make long skirts available for women (bare women's legs are discouraged).

People are reviewing the wrong monastery/pagoda. This is quite separate from Truc Lam and the associated cable car (actually small gondolas). So read these reviews with great care.

I am not sure why this place had such high reviews. We visited based on TA ratings. It is very small. There is not much to see. And looking at photos and descriptions written by other TA reviewers (after we have visited), we think this place has been mixed up with Truc Lam pagoda (highly recommended) due to similar names? If you do visit Thien Vuong wander behind the temple to the back where you will see a large white Buddha in a forest like clearing.

We visited this active temple and pagoda site after a cable car ride. It was a really beautiful place but very busy. The gardens and buildings are stunning. There are some really amazing large bonsai trees and hanging orchids. We also walked down to the lake from the gardens.

Thien Vuong Co Sat pagoda is also called the chinese pagoda.
We rented a motorbike and reached this pagoda (I think it is Truc Lam zen monastery that is accessible by cable car, not this one).
The main features are its location (on a hillock) amidst pine forest, it's comparatively less frequented by tourists (as its a little away from the town center), the 3 giant (4 m tall) statues of 400 years old brought from Hong Kong. And ofcourse the rotating table! If 2 or more people hold their palms over (not on, but 10 cm above) the table top, and walk around, then the top rotates to their speed (I saw it!!).
About 45 min on the premises should be enough.
We continued on our motorbike away from the center for another 20 kms or so, and the road is equally peaceful, winding and quite picturesque.

Well there are so many places and restaurants I need to leave reviews and no better place to do it than here. This place was on bucket list when coming into Da Lat. After coming here, there was only one word that could describe my experience. MAGICAL. In every section and parts on this property. So I need to tell you there is no photography allowed inside the temples, there for its an area to meditate and pray. One thing I found out is the steps down to lake has been closed for awhile now. So if you're looking to head down there for a glimpse and photo session, its a no go. Also theres areas on the property thats off limits. These areas are design for them to pray and meditate without being bothered.

This is a small and beautiful pagoda which is used by the local Chinese community
Trip advisor has many reviews that are wrongly reviewing this one as the more popular Truc Lam pagoda that is visited by the cable car.
This is a more personal pagoda where you can light candles to lord Buddha, it has a wonderful white Buddha set among the pine trees at the back of the pagoda.
To enter first into a small pagoda with the laughing Buddha, then the larger with three Buddhas and finally behind the temple is the white Buddha.
Plus a small market leading upto the temple selling all kinds of local produce and clothes
I loved this pagoda as it lacked the tourists and has a calm serene feeling. You can light a lovely lotus candle for the three Buddhas, sit and meditate there
Lovely
