About
"The crazy house" is part art gallery, part hotel and all the whimsy of an eccentric architect. Have a cup of tea inside a giant giraffe, visit the monkey cage and relax in the sculpture garden.

Our check in was incredibly sketchy. We arrived late, the host could not find our booking and proceeded to demand cash. They wanted us to leave our passports or a lot of cash as a damage deposit??? On top of the payment made. We felt mistrust from the start instead of hospitality. They had given away the room that we were so excited to stay in :( and had reserved. The place in the morning- they BLARE music. It becomes a theme park with swarms of tourists looking in to your room and rattling your doors to try to get in. To top it off there is construction throughout the place so super noisy. Don’t stay there!!!!! You will be very disappointed.

It was a unique and interesting home. However there were so many constructions in the property. Glad did not choose to stay there as the accommodation did not seem comfortable.

It is an impressive place, with original designs, a world of imagination for a visit that you will love. Inside a hotel with unusual rooms that will make you enjoy beautiful views. The beautiful city, parks full of flowers and everything very neat and clean. Do not miss the opportunity to visit them

You can easily get lost in this freaky place; however it's worth a try. Quite expensive for an entrance ticket compared to yo local prices but it's nice to experience weird architect in Vietnam.

Wouldn't recommend this lace for people with low blood pressure as you will go up and down very often on very narrow stairs and may get lost within the building as it's hard to find the way to go down.

Please check the other entry on tripadvisor about the Crazy House. This is a must see in Dalat! It is also a functioning guest house with the cutest, weirdest, most romantic suites I´ve ever seen on land. Prices are not what you might imagine. The honeymoon suite goes for 50USD a night. Check it out.

As most of the guidebook say, this house (built by a local Vietnamese) looks like something on which Gaudi and Dali would've collaborated after dropping acid. Be sure to climb all the way to the roof peak walkways for a great view. The hand-made shoes in the gift shop are also worth a look...

This is an almost endless series of buildings with different types of Vietnamese art on display, sculptures, silk work, paintings, and shops. A great place to see some of the art. Worth seeing the entire staff come out front in the afternoon to recreate an ancient procession honoring the past. A good rainy day activity since most of it is indoors.

It was pouring with rain when we arrived at Crazy house which I think made it look even more crazy!
We weren't exactly sure what to start, but started up one of the many stair cases. Quite dangerous in the wet weather, and there are such low 'railings' that you could very easily fall over the edge if you slipped. Would not pass any western countries building code! Definitely not for those with a fear of heights either.
Very bizarre architecture - like a child's version of the Spanish Gaudi.
Worth a visit but don't go in the rain!

Mush visit place. Designer was "creazy" in good meaning of this word :) But get ready to meet crowds of tourists - this place is very popular. Because of crowds of tourists I have no idea, how people can rent rooms there - it must be too noisy to live.
