Nice quiet temple
Aug 2020 • Family
One of the most important temples in Phuket built 270 years ago located north of the island. Fascinating tale behind the gold Buddha statue was that during the siege of Thalang the Burmese army tried to take the gold Buddha sculpture in vain. They only managed to dig up half the torso before being attacked by the wasps.

Relaxed atmosphere

Interesting enough if you happen to be around. The place is less busy with people than other temples like Chalong. Peaceful and relaxed place. You might spot a monk if you’re lucky ;)

this temple is part of the half day Phuket sight seeing trip and we saw the main temple and the adjacent two other temples. it was very hot and thus would advice that you visit in morning or evening.

Worth a visit if you're around
Dec 2018 • Family
A small temple with a half-buried Buddha. Much less impressive than Chalong, and the latter is recommended in case one is quickly saturated with such visits. OK for a visit in case you're passing through this area and have 30 min to spare.

Visiting a temple was not in my itinerary but we needed a break after travelling for so long in the busy traffic. It was a good decision as we spent almost an hour sitting in the garden contemplating about life in general and also prayed to Lord Buddha for peace and serenity.

Very nice temple

Very nice temple -- would recommend stopping here. Unfortunately, we came too late to visit the museum which is in the same place, so try to get here earlier in the day if you can (I believe they close at 3.30 pm).

Beautiful Temple

Would say that this temple is off the usual tourists' list, as there are certainly more locals than tourists at this site!

Its not a very big temple, however, one can certainly feel at ease on the peaceful ground of the temple!

Peaceful

We could not find any reclining buddha in the gardens but it was very peaceful in the temple. It has multiple buddha (by day) and what praying to each one may do for your spiritual health.
