If you do not mind high humidity , rain and do not worry about rubbish on the beach fronts during the monsoon season then this is a good time to visit Phuket. There are smaller numbers of tourists visiting this area at this time of the year but you still get the vibe -loud music ,nightlife and good thai cuisine.We... More

We discovered this beach by accident, it's a long sweeping bay with a quieter family feel, great for long sunset walks, several resorts that looked nice not over built like patong,

After staying in Ao Nang (Krabi)last visit to Thailand, our whole family was disappointed with our choice of Bang Tao beach. The beach itself is nothing special, a bit dirty and run down, a walk north revealed a creek discharging into the ocean with what appeared to be raw sewerage (put me off swimming). The town had some nice restaurants... More

We loved that this beach was not crowded and it has a nice local feel with a beautiful baby elephant. But, we were surprised at the litter through out plus rough waters and didn't stay long.

Came here for surfing lessons with Skyla Surf. High recommend it, kids had a fab time surfing and then we had lunch at Bliss Beach Club. Kids played for another hour just digging with their hands! 😂 We saw the baby elephant too and paid 100bht to feed it. Beach had a lot of rubbish compared to Surin beach, but... More

No better place to enjoy sunset whilst sipping a bit of coconut juice, ananas or just a corona.. Waves are a bit bumpy, folks are friendly, no one speaks good English but who cares... This is a great place to enjoy family time far away from Patong and it's affiliates in a peaceful and enjoyable empty beach environment. Check it... More

Bang Tao beach is a long and fairly quiet beach, perfect for long walks on the beach. The sunsets are amazing. Rip currents may make swimming difficult sometimes but on less windy days the water is very nice.

Our stay in the monsoon season was better than expected. Great weather with only a couple of rainy days. It's a really beautiful calm beach perfect for familys, not so crowded.

This west facing beach has the most amazing sunsets and the beach is long enough for great walks, especially at low tide. In the small town is a great horse riding place where you can take a horse onto the beach to canter along. Also approximately half along is a bar called Easy Bar. Visit here for some great tunes,...
