We took part in the 2 hour Jungle ATV tour and Big Buddha today. Overall a very enjoyable experience, however not an ATV track that we would recommend if you have never driven them before! The safety instructions like many others have said is brief, and that’s being generous - accelerator, brake... ok go! (Oh and that’s after a talking to saying if you damage bikes in anyway you pay 5,000 baht as no insurance for bikes or us, just third party) The bikes are not in a great condition, the one I rode had very worn tyres, meaning traction in the jungle was difficult. It also stalled a few times meaning I fell back from the group whilst I restarted the engine. The guide who came with us was however was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgable of the area. The routes in the jungle he took were challenging but a great experience. The Big Buddha is well worth a visit, a calm and sensual location. The low score unfortunately is for the treatment of the elephants, on arrival there is a 3 year old elephant in a small pen, who is used to get 100bht for when people feed it or have photos, and just before you enter the jungle there is a couple more larger elephants they use to ride. These are both chained up, in a small area and look very distressed. ATV would have score 4/5 (lower marks for bikes conditions and initial briefing) but the treatment of the elephants brings overall rating down.

Elephants are not supposed to be used as entertainment, riding or trekking. They get abused so humans can ride on them. It is disgusting. This place is crucial. I hope tourists starts to gain more knowledge about how elephants are supposed to be treated.

This was quite expensive for what we did although it was fun. I feel like my excitement for the ATV tour was ruined and immediately vanished when I saw a small elephant chained up in a tiny area surrounded by bars. The elephant was clearly distressed walking around in circles and this really started off our tour badly as I felt sad. As we started our tour and went around the corner I noticed more elephants but bigger and tied up in smaller areas too, it was not nice at all. I dont know how tourists can happily take pictures and wait in que to ride the poor animals. The big buddha was impressive and we enjoyed our short time there. The thing that really ruined our trip was the rude, arrogant and nasty transfer driver. He was shouting at a family in the back of our transfer van and pointing his finger at them. They didnt understand what he was shouting nor did I but they had apparently complained about their experience and not happy with the service. I dont see that shouting at customers / tourists is going to do them any favours. We set off back to our hotels but 10 knformed properly or at least asked if we had other plans (which we did and had to cancel because we were late). All in all great fun on the ATV, shame about the rest. Our guide was very nice though.

We booked 1 hour ATV tour and big buddha, we the really excited about it, however the track was awful. Complete waste of money. Would definitely use your money elsewhere. Also whilst waiting for our bikes, we had to watch as a baby elephant was tied up on a very short rope, obviously distressed and being prodded with a nail under a handkerchief because he was trying to remove his leg from the rope, or makijgbtoo much noise. Absolutely disgusting. Please do not use this tour company. The rest of the elephants tied up around the corner on raised platforms. Awful experience.

My partner and I did this together. We went into the jungle, and stopped at a beach and went through muddy puddles. All I can really say is, this is so much fun, staff are great and this is a must do!
