    Banana Beach One Day Trip!
Jasmine is my tour guide, she is very knowledgeable and helpful. Snorkeling was fun for first timer. Food was a lot and so yummy. The tom yum soup is my favourite!! Banana boat was very exciting as well. I will definitely come here again next time. Highly recommended, thank you Jasmine! ❤️❤️❤️

Great way to spend the last day in Phuket
Experience is was so great. Our guide Alex ensure we were well looked after during every activity and for the lunch. Some of the Thai food was a bit too adventurous for some of the group, and Alex ensure everyone had more than enough for the lunch. I would recommend this tour to anyone staying in Phuket and considering the heading to the Banana Beach

While the beach itself is amazing, the tour company isn’t. I had purchased the premium package (highest tier out of the 3) that includes two activity as well as 2 snorkeling points . It was a windy day so the tour company had cancelled one of our snorkeling points and both of my activities (parasailing and clear kayaking).

People on the tour and I were understanding that the weather is beyond their control, however the company s attitude totally changed the moment we had arrived on the beach and that they had decided to cancel all activities. The tour guide (Ta Ta) was quite aggressive in her speaking manner and told us that there’s no refund, no negotiation , and we had to sign a waiver to accept a t shirt, or a non alcoholic beverage (tea or coffee or juice) as a proper compensation for our cancelled activities (which is worth $150-200 CAD). The water was choppy but a few of us felt safe enough to kayak but that was also turned down.

Another couple had a big heated argument with the tour guide right there and then. I tried my best to enjoy the clear water around the beach knowing there’s nothing we could do about it. Snorkeling was still good, in fact better than the open water one where there were TONS of jelly fish to dodge. More than half of the tour ended up leaving early on an earlier boat back to the mainland.

I felt that they could’ve tried a little harder to meet us half way or compromise on a partial refund.

I visited Banana Beach for a full day tour in December, upon arrival at the pier had to wait almost an hour to get on the speedboat. Once at the beach we were shown our chairs, the water is nice and you can see fish and snorkel. I had not purchased the snorkelling excursion in advance and upgraded to do it, what a mistake. They took us to the first stop went out and was snorkelling did not see much fish very choppy waters, I look up and the boat was moved quite far away! The guide never told us in advance and had to swim in very choppy waters quite far to get to the boat, was exhausting this is completely unacceptable- I did not get off at the second stop as I did not trust the crew. Overall it was an okay trip would be a better experience if you just long tail it over and skip the banana boat company tour.

Monday 17th February and we booked a half day tour to Coral Island.

There are 2 beaches on the Island, this one and the larger, busier Long Beach.

Our tour landed on Long Beach, where we were based. It is possible to walk to here by
walking along the beach with sea on left side to end of beach to the rocks. Pathway initially not that obvious, been washed away. So clamber over rocks a short way and the narrow path is accessible.

The ground was very uneven and at times a bit steep, there is a plethora of small roots criss crossing the path. Footwear is definitely required, not really flip flop terrain. It took us about 20 minutes to get there.

There were a small number of sun beds but no umbrellas on the beach, the only shade was under the trees. Towels and beach mats are need to spread out on the beautiful white sands, which are lapped by the crystal clear sea.

The were some bars and restaurants along the beach.

We only stayed a short while here, as we had to get back to the other beach, but we did have time to walk along the beach and admire the beautiful scenery.

We stayed in Bangtao Beach for almost two weeks, so we got tired of the beach there. So we went for a day-tour with one of the boats taxi. It takes about 30 minutes one way so it is not far. With a car-taxi it is about the same time cause of the bad roads.

Try to visit the little island near the beach also, there is great snorkling water there.

On banana beach it was little crowdy, but that didn't matter to us. There is also two restuarants there, with food, drink and ice cream. There is not any sunbed so bring towels to sit on. There is alot of trees there though, so you should be able to sit under shadow if you want. A few meters from the beach there is some underwater rocks, so you can snorkle there too if you want to.

So if you are near Bangtao beach and want a day tour, visit Banana beach!

I did the Banana Beach Half Tour and it was a completely amazing experience. Guide Mike was very friendly and humorous. In particular, I suddenly changed my return time from the beach, but he handled it perfectly, so I was able to enjoy all the fun times with my family. The food included in the Tour was delicious beyond expectations. We had a fantastic day thanks to the great tour program, beautiful scenery, delicious food and the perfect tour guide Mike. I will use this Tour again next time. Thanks Mike!!!
