About
King power – Thailand’s duty free pioneer-expands into Phuket Downtown The allure of the waters surrounding Phuket, endearingly dubbed the Pearl of the Andaman, inspired the design of King Power Phuket. The use of dimensional depth and lighting on the exterior mirrors the sparkling Andaman Sea. The interior is painted in pearl white contrasted by fluid lines simulating the movement of water. Additionally, the design incorporates Phuket’s unique Sino-Portuguese patterns, adding a distinctive look to the impressive architectural splendour. On top of a multitude of duty-free merchandise from world-class brands, you can also browse and buy products from leading Thai brands, as well as local Phuket goods we’ve carefully selected for you, at the Thai Pavilion. The King Power Phuket offers the best selection of world-class and local brands and much more.

When requesting Omega PMCs, the Internet pointed to this duty-free shopping center. As a result, we purchased watches from three brands and a jewelry bracelet. I compared prices with Kazakh sites. Since I had been eyeing these models for a long time, I knew the prices of the manufacturers. The price for Voume et Mercier watches is $700 lower. Longines were also cheaper. When purchasing over 50,000 baht, they gave a 20 percent discount. The total purchase amount was $4,000 and the savings were $1,200.

This is a duty free shop. I won’t do a full review as others have covered the concept well elsewhere, but essentially you have to register with passport and international flight details to get a card to do shopping. Certain items, if bought, are delivered to the airside after the airport for collection.

Inside is pristine and carries the brands the coach loads of shoppers are looking for. The have a good range of top end watch brands for sale. Staff do not know the brands or product features, prices are high but then typically discounted by 20% ( the Vat) and the range available to buy is limited by the usual supply issues.

Not really worth the hassle especially when you factor in the risk that the goods can’t be inspected before you accept them, the item may not make it to the airport for you to collect.

Congested with bus loads of Chinese tourists. I find the prices are n way cheaper than the malls or outlet center. Staff are polite. You must register at reception (make sure to bring your passport or a photo of it). Its easy to find and offers ample parking for bikes and cars but when I showed up in the late afternoon there were about 8 coach tourist buses. The facility over all is very well maintained and spotless. Food court and Thai souvenir shop upstairs is worth the visit. Also remember an exit ticket will be required and items will be available at the international airport where you will depart Thailand, no land or sea option. The only goods available to take off the premises are thai souvenir from the upstairs shops.

I had to provide my passport a couple of times, wait over 10 minutes and sign a docket to buy a pack of gum for 180 Bart (£4.50)

Everything is over priced and the service is terrible.

I would avoid if you can, one star is already generous!

Not my place. BUT I understand that given Phuket airport is smaller and also people may not have much time inside for shopping, this is expended and off site big duty free airport shop. If you buy something you pick up from airport. Local section is there too but only at airport quality and airport price. So, no local shopping here - extended airport shopping .. be in Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo airport shopping galleries you get get same idea.

Beautiful mall.
Took as 20 minutes to check in as it is a duty free mall.
Crazy pricing.

My wife looked at clothes.
I looked at scotch.
Friends looked at jewelry.

Prices were really high. What they don’t charge in duty they make up for in margin.

Time to check in.
20 minutes.

Time to shop the entire mall and purchase nothing.
12 minutes.

Save yourself the time. Go to the beach.

Below is an example of the price of a T-shirt
990 THB which is $39 Canadian or $30 US
