Wonderful Experience
Jan 2019 • Friends
Sherri was incredibly accommodating and a wonderful teacher! One of us could not eat seafood and she was very willing to modify the recipes, while also keeping all the dishes authentic. The facilities were clean, and easy to find. The location is different from the one from google, so call ahead of time and Sherri will speak to your taxi driver and explain where to find her. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun day with delicious food in Pattaya!

This was a highlight of my last trip to Pattaya. You get to hand pick 4 dishes to make with guidance from the chef. After you make each dish you eat the dish. Hot tip make sure you turn up hungry as you will eat your fill

The thai red curries I can make now are better than my local thai takeaway....boom

When you finish you get the recipe booklet with 30 recipes.

Great dishes, friendly staff- a LOT of food!

I recently moved to Pattaya and was interested in learning Thai Cooking. I had a couple of friends who had tried this place and enjoyed it. It is a bit hard to find if you are not familiar with the area, but Sherri will coordinate a ride for you if you call and ask! Since I am living here, I went the day before to find it as I got my bearings around the city.

I recommend going in the morning session as it is not as hot, but they have many fans on, provide you with water, a hand washing station, and a few tables. Each person gets to pick 4 dishes which can all be different. She then runs off to the market on her motorbike, but you can also go to the market with her if you request it (which I have no experienced yet). Sherri and the other 2 girls that work there are very friendly and helpful. Every dish I have made is amazing, and it is so much food that you can easily save some for dinner as they will pack it up for you- during my last visit they even gave me an extra container of rice! So far I have been to 3 classes and have been very pleased. Each time I have signed up alone; this is supposed to be their slow season but I have had 4+ other people with me in the class the first 2 times I went which was fun to meet others. My last class was alone and Sherri was not able to be there, but I have no complaints as the other girls were very attentive and fun during the course! Having a private lesson allowed me to ask more questions and understand the ingredients a bit better.

I recommend this school to anyone - I am definitely not big on cooking and they provide you with everything you need and it is all delicious. If you go to 4 classes, your 5th is free, so I plan on doing at least 2 more classes with them!

A homely cookery experience - the kids loved it - but have a light breakfast!
Apr 2015 • Family
We visited the happy home cookery school as part of a trip to Pattaya as a family (kids aged 5 and 8). We all love Thai food so a chance to discover how it comes together was a key part of our trip.
We booked the school via email and were picked up from our hotel as part of the booking. Our day involved a first stop at the local Thai market to pick up the main ingredients. We chose 4 dishes from an extensive menu and struck a balance between spicy and non-spicy. The market experience certainly started the day with an eye-opener. We then went back to the 'home' and it was very much a modern Thai home. Our teacher could not have been more accommodating to our children, including them in the instructions, providing stools so they could see and help cook.
You cook the food and you eat it - so bear this in mind. We went for the morning session (9-12) and were eating our first dish (a Thai red curry) at about 10:30 - so have a light breakfast! You can also visit in the afternoon (so skip lunch I guess).
Our kids then spent some time playing with local Thai children which capped off their day.
