Not a huge market - but will take some time to walk around. Don't expect Chatuchak market, but there are plenty of vendors and food stalls. I would still budget around two hours to walk around. Huge variety of food available. Prices for goods are only slightly higher than Chatuchak, but only a few baht. More for locals than a tourist trap, so prices aren't hugely inflated. Same items you would see for sale in many stores/malls in Pattaya but prices are better. Well worth a visit when in the area.

Went to 3 night market: bao khao, thepprasit and jomthien. I feel thepprasit is the best for culinary hunting. Range of food are varies. Ate spicy pork ribs clear soup (best!), fried pork (really good), fresh orange juice, glutanious rice mango, local thai rice (taste sour and spicy). Came there on friday nite, very crowded but like the hype.
Jomthien's stall is a bit bigger and has more foreigner, but range of food is limited and not as crowded as thepprasit. Bao khao is smaller place, and open air, more like thepprasit but thepprasit has more food stall with less table for seating.

Worth going for just for the street food alone - fried chicken, moo ping, fruit smoothies and the usual street food items. There is a stall with mini curry puffs (karipap) for 2B each. Other stalls are the same crap, different street.
To get there by songthaew, first head to the corner of South Pattaya Rd and Second Rd where they wait to fill up before going to Jomtien. Get out at the intersection with Thepprasit Rd (Pan Pan restaurant on the right and Foodland on the left - this is also the location of the bus office for direct buses to Suvarnabhumi Airport). Transfer to another songthaew here that travel along Thepprasit Rd and also wait to fill up. DO NOT get out at the first market you see (my mistake). There is a smaller night market to the west of the main one. The main market is in front of a multi-story condo building and beside an outlet mall.

If you manage to find parking for your motorbike, expect people walking on your feet and staring on cheap useless selection of fake designer labels. Atrocious to say at least

It took us 3 hours to walk through the market😅. Every thing here has fix price and the quality is good as well. Beside the variety goods, the food and beverage are delicious. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed at the beginning of beach street and it cost us 200 bhat to get to the Thepprasit market. It is a big market of clothes including shoes, dresses, trousers ... . At the end there is a great food market with a lot of choices from insects to pork, beef, chicken and sea food. If you are good at bargaining you can buy goods with reasonable prices.

Good kinds of Thai food, shakes and everything, but when it's comes to the clothes, I wouldn't shop there, maybe for some far far relatives. Quality of the stuff is kinda suffers, thirts might become smaller 2 sizes after 1 cold wash or whatever, so watch what you're buying. I'm out.

hi all I was privileged to live in pattay for 3 years with my Thai wife, and we went every Friday, so believe me I know what im talking about,
its starts at about 5.30 pm every Friday night, but stalls are not all ready then, so make it for about 6pm, hear you can get just any thing you want, there is a lot of copy's hear brand names and the like, some are cheep and tacky inspect them well and have your guard up. but some are very good copy's also.
pick pockets are many there so keep you stuff safe. good selection of local and international food. try the BBQ fish, highly recommended. tends to get rely busy and can feel like your in a fish bolw, but well worth a visit

Songthaews are abundant and some drivers may take in passengers to various en route destinations for higher profit.
But I found this ok as long as the agreed price is fine with you.
There were also metered taxis ( not sure if they charge by meter ) but we didn't try coz there were 5 of us.

Any reputable shop. Silver and gold are easy to test for. Gemstones less so. The gigantic gemstone store should offer certificates of authenticity.

Now how comes you spent 800 baht on food? that is strange. for 2 person i spend about 100 baht a person for many things. Ok I usually go buy and bring the food home. spend about 300 baht, but i have food also for the next day. and the bbq spare rips are the most expensive for about 120 baht a half piece. the rest is about 50 baht / person menu without rice.

Is the market effected today by coronation day? I'm new to Thailand so wasn't sure. Also could anyone clarify the opening time of the market?
