- JPTNashSittingbourne, United Kingdom37 contributionsIf you love food, clothes and accessories at reasonable prices look no further. Obviously, don’t expect top brands but also don’t expect prices aimed at tourists, this market is for the locals just as much as the others. The variety of food is fantastic and there’s just about anything you might wish to eat if you’re a fan of Thai, Indian or Chinese.Visited December 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten December 18, 2024
- Richard SPattaya, Thailand10 contributionsBest OJ at 2 places, lots of food, Lobster , fresh, 1700-2000. Tons of shoes and clothes, tempura shrimp, etc. Poor man's Central Festival. Just South is the used stuff for cheap. Open air thrift store. You can walk there, 100 yards.Visited July 2024Traveled soloWritten August 29, 2024

But in the night 🌙 due to light opened alot of small butterflies 🦋 or other kind of insects will come in huge numbers... This was really disturbing...Visited February 2025Traveled with familyWritten February 17, 2025

This is an amazing huge semi-outdoor market that now takes place every evening from 5pm. Many many stalls selling all kinds of goods, many for clothes and other fashion accessories. Also under the roof is a large food court selling Thai food snacks and sweets. Due to being under the roof I found this rather hot and so apart from a quick snack and drink didn't stay too long but there are also tables to sit at for a longer stay. There are local buses (baht bus) to and from the Jomtien end of Theppassit Road making access easy. All in all a fascinating visit and a chance to pick-up some bargains

Honestly for people who like street food you can die happy after seeing this. Slightly away from downtown Pattaya, the prices are super cheap and the quantity and quality of the food is amazing. When we leave there we have a totally changed vision of food. Personally I only have one dream of going back there to stuff myself like a little pig

Not a huge market - but will take some time to walk around. Don't expect Chatuchak market, but there are plenty of vendors and food stalls. I would still budget around two hours to walk around. Huge variety of food available. Prices for goods are only slightly higher than Chatuchak, but only a few baht. More for locals than a tourist trap, so prices aren't hugely inflated. Same items you would see for sale in many stores/malls in Pattaya but prices are better. Well worth a visit when in the area.

We made the mistake of shopping at Thepprasit market on a Wednesday and bought very little! What a difference on a Saturday night when there twice as many stores and better options.

Went to 3 night market: bao khao, thepprasit and jomthien. I feel thepprasit is the best for culinary hunting. Range of food are varies. Ate spicy pork ribs clear soup (best!), fried pork (really good), fresh orange juice, glutanious rice mango, local thai rice (taste sour and spicy). Came there on friday nite, very crowded but like the hype.
Jomthien's stall is a bit bigger and has more foreigner, but range of food is limited and not as crowded as thepprasit. Bao khao is smaller place, and open air, more like thepprasit but thepprasit has more food stall with less table for seating.

Worth going for just for the street food alone - fried chicken, moo ping, fruit smoothies and the usual street food items. There is a stall with mini curry puffs (karipap) for 2B each. Other stalls are the same crap, different street.
To get there by songthaew, first head to the corner of South Pattaya Rd and Second Rd where they wait to fill up before going to Jomtien. Get out at the intersection with Thepprasit Rd (Pan Pan restaurant on the right and Foodland on the left - this is also the location of the bus office for direct buses to Suvarnabhumi Airport). Transfer to another songthaew here that travel along Thepprasit Rd and also wait to fill up. DO NOT get out at the first market you see (my mistake). There is a smaller night market to the west of the main one. The main market is in front of a multi-story condo building and beside an outlet mall.

If you manage to find parking for your motorbike, expect people walking on your feet and staring on cheap useless selection of fake designer labels. Atrocious to say at least

It took us 3 hours to walk through the market😅. Every thing here has fix price and the quality is good as well. Beside the variety goods, the food and beverage are delicious. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed at the beginning of beach street and it cost us 200 bhat to get to the Thepprasit market. It is a big market of clothes including shoes, dresses, trousers ... . At the end there is a great food market with a lot of choices from insects to pork, beef, chicken and sea food. If you are good at bargaining you can buy goods with reasonable prices.

How to go and come to Thepprasit Road Night Market from Hard Rock Pattaya Hotel? How much does it cost?
Written January 7, 2024
Hmm. A bit complicated if you want to go by baht bus, you'd probably need three - one down the beach road get off at the corner at South Pattaya Road, then another from outside the school there heading to Jomtien. Get off that at Theppasit Road and a third one from there to the market - 10 baht each so 30 baht. Coming back similar but might take longer to get each. If you're willing to pay a little more you could order a taxi via the Grab app - not sure how much for that but fares are fixed and reasonable. Hope that helps

How much cost a taxi, not private to go there from mike shopping mall please

Songthaews are abundant and some drivers may take in passengers to various en route destinations for higher profit.
But I found this ok as long as the agreed price is fine with you.
There were also metered taxis ( not sure if they charge by meter ) but we didn't try coz there were 5 of us.

Any reputable shop. Silver and gold are easy to test for. Gemstones less so. The gigantic gemstone store should offer certificates of authenticity.

Now how comes you spent 800 baht on food? that is strange. for 2 person i spend about 100 baht a person for many things. Ok I usually go buy and bring the food home. spend about 300 baht, but i have food also for the next day. and the bbq spare rips are the most expensive for about 120 baht a half piece. the rest is about 50 baht / person menu without rice.
Written August 28, 2017
We sat down and ordered food that was on display. That is the whole point don't sit down and order because a complete rip also tasted like crap

Is the market effected today by coronation day? I'm new to Thailand so wasn't sure. Also could anyone clarify the opening time of the market?
