This was an overall great experience! Started out by being picked up from my hotel by the owner of the company, which is not something I expected but was a nice touch from the small company. Steve was very cheerful and explained exactly what would be happening next as well as giving me a brief introduction to the instructor I would be diving with.
When we arrived to the pier I was introduced to my instructor Vitaly, who was with me for the remainder of the trip. We were on a large boat with a few different groups but it was a 1-to-1 experience for me where as other groups were less personal with 3 or more divers to 1 instructor. I have done scuba once before but was still extremely nervous, but Vitaly was extremely patient the entire time and made a lot of jokes to break through my nerves.
He was very knowledgeable and explained the equipment process step by step even though as a "discover diving" course it wasn't honestly necessary for me to know. (He gave me the option of going with him to set up everything which I preferred, since I eventually hope to get certified). I appreciated his willingness to include me in every step even though it probably would have gone faster if he didn't have to explain everything to me.
For the first dive, we floated on the surface for a bit to get acclimated to the water and Vitaly had me look to the bottom but each time my goggles filled up with water and I had a hard time clearing it so I began to panic a bit. Vitaly was kind enough to let me use his own personal goggles which happened to be a better fit for my face. After we got that situated, we went under (probably no more than 5 minutes) before I started panicking again because I felt like I had water in my nose. Vitaly, was literally so calm the whole time and never seemed to be annoyed (which says a lot because I was annoyed with myself).
Once I was able to relax we were finally able to go deeper and check out all the beautiful scenery. Vitaly stayed close and held on to me the whole time, mostly because I think he knew I was more comfortable that way. On the second dive, once he felt I was doing well enough he let go and gave me a bit more freedom. Vitaly was an awesome guide, always pointing out cool things that I was too stuck in my head to notice otherwise. He always had answers to my questions about what kind of fish or other things we saw were after we were out of the water.
Vitaly also took some pictures of me here and there during the dive as an added bonus I wasn't expecting. This is something I'm sure other companies probably charge for but he did it without me even asking, which I thought was nice. If you're looking for a personalized experience with a great small company, look no further! As a beginner or an experienced diver, this will be an excellent choice and I will definitely be diving with them again for future trips to Pattaya!

Luckily I habe found Steve's company and had great time on the boat and during the dives. Several snacks, tea and coffee is served from the first moment and a tasty buffet kind of lunch is prepared by the staff.
The dive to the wreck being not that much experienced was for the first view a bit frightening but Steve led the dive superb giving me a correct briefing and great advises, doing an amazing dive I was fully amazed with.
Thank you Steve for everything including of course your great stories ! 😉👍

Had an amazing 2days diving. Been to pattaya a few times now and wouldn't dive with anyone else. Did 3 dives, a day and got a couple of wreck dives in which are great to do. Hassle free days with everything taken care of. Highlight of the trip. Wil be back soon and diving again.

Booked Scuba/Ocean dive with Steve through Angie in Dec month for 3500 for Jan month. After reaching hotel Angie says Steve do Aquarium dive & she can give me Nathan. I said i booked for Steve. 10 mins later when i said ok for Nathan she said sorry he got booked. I asked this is how you manage things, Angie replied she is into house property & do part time steve admin & email stuff. I was helpless & had to cancel my scuba plan because of fault of Angie. Moreover they charge 3500 while other Thai ppl charge only 3000.
Dont book with them at all as they are cheater UK folks. Instead book with some local Thai.

Dear Sachin,
It is unfortunate that you chose to write such a terrible review for and activity that you did not participate in. We are sorry that we were unable to comply with your requirements for the scuba program in the ocean. We did offer you the aquarium dive with Steve but your preference was the ocean. We then tried to book Nathan to do this, but , as you did not pay a deposit, he is a freelance instructor and within minutes, he was honestly and truthfully booked by another company. My wife spent around 2 hours reading and responding to your WhatsApp messages and it is unfortunate that she does have another job. She did suggest for you to call me (Steve) but the next time we heard from you was this review that you posted here.
I do hope that other reviewers will take into consideration both sides of the story before passing any judgement.

We completed our Scuba Dive with Dive In Pattaya in Oct 2016 and the underwater experience was Magnificent. The divers are complete professionals and make your experience unforgettable. We had one session of briefing day before we went underwater.
The breifing was very well explainded by Steve and told us exactly what to expect during the dive, also patiently answered all the questions. This was our first dive experience and we all were excited and some of us didn't know how to swim. The divers were patient to ensured that we got the skill right.
Steve was amazing!! He cares for customers safety and giving a great experience.

Visted with my friend on march 2015. Called up steve one day before and finalized our timing. Steve is great guy. He came to pick us at our hotel. Even the road was completely packed with people for pattaya music festival. On our way to under water world. He explained us everything for scooba diving. We did aquarium diving. Our dive was great. We swim with shark, turtle and sting ray. A must do activity in pattaya. Thanks Steve for such a wonderful dive. Will visit again. Thanks.

Came to know about Dive in Pattaya through trip advisor and booked for a beginner's dive with them. The company is run by Steve and his wife Angie. My mail was responded by Angie promptly and all details were given by her in her mail. The booking process is simple, you just need to pay a part as advance through PayPal and balance can be paid after the session is over.
On reaching Bamgkok on 10th September afternoon, I called up and Steve responded. The pick up time was set and though he prefers to meet his customers one day before to take measurements and to make his customer aware about the entire process, for my case due to some specific reasons he wasn't able to meet me though all necessary details was shared through phone and SMS.
On 11th morning Steve arrived 15 mins before scheduled time and I was having my breakfast. We chatted for a while till I finished my breakfast and he explained me the nuances of diving, what is expected, the first time fear etc. Talking to him was so good and he made me comfortable.
My diving instructor was a young guy named Vitaly was also an expert diver. Though Steve is himself an expert but nonetheless he assigned Vitaly who being Ukrainian speaks fluent English. While travelling to the diving spot in a catamaran, Vitaly explained me in details the equipments involved, the sign languages and the basic things which as a beginner you need to know. Then came the big moment.
We have reached the first diving spot and the diving depth was around 12m. The first step is the scariest part when you need to walk of the boat wearing full diving gear and jump into the ocean. Even though I knew swimming and have done snorkelling many times, I still felt slight nervousness. Once I jumped, it seemed its not my cup of tea. I immediately took in a mouthful of sea water and felt like God its over I can't do it. But Vitaly was with me and kept on constantly encouraging me. He told me to relax and float for a while, catch my breadth. Once I did that and then put on the regulator and just dipped my head inside water to get a feel. After a couple of tries I gained confidence and signalled Vitaly that I am ready, we went down and immediately after going below I felt that I can't breathe and signalled Vitaly that I want to go up. We came up and then Vitaly told me that I was trying to breathe too hard, I need to relax and breathe through my mouth slowly in a regular fashion. He then caught my hand and again we went down, this time there was no going back, after first couple of mins I gained confidence and then enjoyed the dive. Vitaly kept on swimming beside me and started taking pictures once he felt that now I can manage and doesn't have to hold my hand. The 1st dive lasted 34 mins.
We came back to the boat for lunch. The lunch was simple but very good. The red curry was very tasty. The 2nd dive took place after lunch and this time I had no problems at all, we did the 2nd dive for about 44mins. Vitaly took plenty of pictures. Saw wonderful corals, fishes etc.
This was an amazing experience. I fell in love and will definitely do it again. Thanks to DIve in Pattaya, Steve, Angie and Vitaly. You guys are awesome. Last but not the least, knowing swimming helps but even if you are a non swimmer, you can also try. Ocean diving is any time better than diving in a fish tank or aquarium or in any artificial stuff. If you go to Pattaya, don't miss. Try diving with Dive In Pattaya(website diveinpattaya.com) they are the best.
PS: Steve, please say thanks to Vitaly on my behalf.

How much for a day trip with 2 dives including round trip pick up service and lunch provided.
