About
Stretching from Pattaya Beach Road to Bali Hai Plaza, Walking Street is the epicenter of Pattaya’s notorious red-light district, with pubs, nightclubs, and go-go bars galore. Experience the electric atmosphere, catch a free Muay Thai match, and enjoy the live bands and cabarets. When the sensory overload gets too much, take a breather at Pattaya Pier—an iconic landmark in the city. Food-wise, there are a plethora of stalls, casual eateries, and restaurants that stay open to accommodate late-night revelers. Stay safe, and if you feel uncomfortable, look for tourist police stationed in the area. – Tripadvisor

- ozpixAustralia503 contributionsDisappointedActually disappointed. Maybe our expectations were too high. Imagined the street to be even longer than what it was. Full of legal drug shops which gave it a bad vibe. A lot of the girls on the street were not at all very pretty to look at, and had many wierdos come up to us wanting to take us down back streets to watch live sex shows. We did end up scoring a great meal on the beachfront though. Wouldn't visit here again. Better party streets in the world.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 27, 2023
- Jon M4 contributionsGood times!Walked around and checked out some of the places with bands and other venues for entertainment. A lot of things to see and do. Very highly recommend a place called Ice box, nothing beats a walk in freezer on a hot day!Visited June 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 29, 2024
- Rob NesbitWarsaw, Poland4,114 contributionsfun! Here for the Songkran festival or Thai New Year - a lot of water and a good bit of fun too. Everyone was in high spirits and the atmosphere from young and old alike was electric. Many bars, strip joints, fast food outlets and lots more! Street is quite long, much longer than I expected .....and I didnt even manage to finish it!Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 3, 2024
- bl0ndie72Ko Samui, Thailand3,467 contributionsOne of Pattaya’s ‘must visits’Did you really visit Pattaya if you didn’t visit Walking Street? It has something for everyone. Plenty of places to drink, eat, dance, meet ladies, watch shows. Some of the vendors were quite aggressive, as were some of the ladies. Beware buying Lady Drinks in the bars - they can be very expensive. We were a big group & we weren’t interested in the live shows or the go go bars. We wanted to drink & dance. Certainly a very lively night. We were very surprised by the number of families with little kids, wandering along Walking Street.. Worth a visit, but don’t bring your kids..Visited July 2024Traveled with friendsWritten July 10, 2024

Walking Street can be overwhelming for some people. The lights the people club and bar promoters. Sensory overload is an understatement having said that I have to admit that I enjoyed every minute of it. LOL!!! Make sure that you keep your wallet in a safe place I heard a few tourists say that they were pick-pocketed while visiting Walking Street. I tried some of the street food after a night of clubbing there it was delicious and very inexpensive. Here's a tip go the street food vendor's that have a long line of local people waiting to be served.

This is one of the fascinating places you must visit whilst in Pattaya, even if you just people watch. It mostly comprises of gogo bars and there are a few great streets such as Soi Diamond and Soi 15 branching off it. I first visited Walking Street in 1988 and I still continue to visit. Street performers from dancers to magicians, intrigue curious tourists with a variety of talents. The neon jungle is ablaze with gogo bars, nightclubs, shops and restaurants. It's Little Las Vegas right here in Pattaya, Thailand.

Even as a couple, you will be accosted by aggressive touts every step of you way along this seedy street, and shown the same laminated card of simulated sacks. All touts lead to the same club that we ended up going. Show was a farce. The audience was a mix of couples like us and groups of single men. Our "free drinks" were brought to us with demands to pay a service fee. The 'sacks show' did not include any sacks. A few disinterested girls performed party tricks with balloons, ping pong balls and razor blades. During the show staff continued to harassed all clients for tips by going around with a bucket. We waited but nothing much happened. After a period of bored girls jiggling around poles the show started all over again. It's all waste of money and time.

I can tell you that this is the only place where life flows fast. I have been living in Pattaya for almost 2 years. This place literally calls people with its nightlife and neon lights. I will introduce you to a gogo bar that you do not know, its name is (windmill gogo bar club). It is in the top 3 among such places in Pattaya. There is a business. There are two places with the same name, both of them are owned by the same owner. There are 2 different complexes inside. One is downstairs, the other is upstairs. Here the girls are completely naked, but the business is in the hands of the mamabasans. On one side, the mamabasans who behave kindly are on the other side, they are very rude inside. Drinks are 99 baths. If you invite a girl to the table. 260thb and every half hour they can bring new drinks to this bill and increase it. Only the draft price of this place is 99thb, bottled beer is 180thb, see this place where everything is free, taking pictures inside is forbidden, if you do this, you may be fired and beaten, they will instantly delete the images from your camera. Mamabasans think they are the boss, they won't let you breathe, they drink all the time. If you drink, you can sit here. The most important thing is that you should invite one or more of the girls to come with you. Lady drink is 260thb and is renewed every half hour.

Another great and very special hike under Paula’s fantastic leadership. It took us total 6 hours, ending with 45 minutes River walk before getting back to the resort parking. If in good speedybshape, the Hike can be completed in 4 hours.
Highly recommended, Paula is very experienced, very knowledgeable, funny and very caring for the group.

If you came here 15 ,10 or even 5 years ago you are not for a disappointment ,newbies won’t know the difference ,however for the ones that came here years ago Covid definitely gave a massive hit in odd ways to talking street .
The vibe just ain’t the same as it used to be ,freelancers walking around was basically none ,the nightlife is in full swing no doubt ,more nightclubs more lights more shows etc however the vibe overall you feel that it ain’t the same as it used to be ,probably could see more tourists than girls which was rather odd .
Didn’t felt the same didn’t enjoyed like I used to ,there was no loud welcome there wa no hand pushing from the girls to walk in pubs and bars and shows there was no walking street as it used to be for me and when you talk with businesses that were there before ( talked with a couple of restaurant owners ) it was most definitely covid
Yes you will see reviews here saying that it’s a loud crazy street etc and it is … if you just landed in Pattaya for the first time ,for the oldies … that ain’t só and you will see what I mean ..
Truly hoping that it gets back one day the beautiful vibe that walking street once has and dare I say Pattaya as a whole …
For the time being I probably would give it a miss for the next few years until it gets hopefully back the lost beautiful vibe that it once had

Walking street is not for everyone. It is a great area if you are looking for cheap, fun entertainment, especially if you are traveling solo or with close friends. Pretty much anything goes. There are a few great dance clubs that go into the wee hours. Food choices are limited, though a few of the restaurants offer good food.

This is the most fun tourist street in the world. She's really big. A huge number of clubs, bars, coffee shops, striptease establishments - for every taste and color. There are restaurants with seafood, doner kebab. There are many more establishments here than on similar streets in Ayia Napa or the Spanish Islands.
It's better to come on Friday or Saturday evening, all establishments are 100% open. Lots of bright signs, different music.
I visited 3 nightclubs - Janaat (Diwali was celebrated here), Leela, Lucifer. Everywhere admission is free, they serve good cocktails, not watered down. The waiters themselves come up to take your order; you don’t have to wait long at the bar. The service is excellent, the music too. Cash and cards are accepted for payment. The clubs are really big inside, you can dance and sit comfortably.
For fans, there are strip clubs with Russian and Indian girls, I don’t know what’s inside, I didn’t go.

If you want to go to Walking Street or south of Pattaya or Bali Hai pier for connecting to Koh Larn, then go to the minivan stand in Mochit Bus Station and buy your ticket – no advance booking needed. Pattaya’s famous Walking Street, right in the middle of the nightlife and entertainment. If you do not like to stay around party life at night, this place ain’t for you; also if you do not like loud music all night.

Its a crazy place, we were there early in the evening but there was so much going on. Music and loud sounds everywhere. Pretty girls trying to persuade you to go into their bars. Guys looking for girls and lots of tourists.
There were kick boxers, street performers, bars, reasonably priced food chaos but great fun.
A woman kept trying to persuade us to go the the Ping Pong Bar. Eventually we went but it was horrible and I dont recommend it. I can't go into details here.
Apart from that we had a great time and I recommend Walking Street for tourists and of course for men looking for female company.

1 is it ok for my 3 Grand children
2 can they go in bars there
Thanks
Written November 25, 2020
I believe children are allowed. I have a son, but I would never take him there. Stuff does go on that I would not want him to see!

I think some massage parlors do. At least from my experience (you can find the outlet’s name in my review); where the masseuse insisted on providing sex instead of massaging. I paid the massage fee and got out of there, so I’m not sure how much they charge. I can’t comment on the LBs as I’d never had any experience with them.

Hi anyone in Pattaya. What’s the current exchange rate for £
Written October 15, 2019
rates keep on dropping, would advise you not to exchange on airport, local places often have a slight better rate. compare a few of them before paying up, many of them around under which some scammers.
Written October 26, 2019
Its very safe....just be respectful....try meeting them on thai freindly app instead, easier and cheaper, plus most are just regular girls. Its a fun place to visit.
