We had an absolutely fabulous adventure sailing experience with Kunta. Me and my wife took Sanora for a 6 days sailing tour to the Marine Park, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan back to Koh Samui.
The wind was perfect for Sailing, the weather was just amazing and we stopped at great places, had a dinner in a small fisher village off from all crowded places, stopped at remote areas and bays for amazing snorkelling, saw beautiful flora and fauna. We climbed a view point with great views, had amazing sunsets and woke up with the sound of the waves. We were swimming next to a lovely waterfall, in the evening had some drinks in very special bars or on the boat.
All in all we can just strongly recommend to sail with Kunta, especially multiple days, as then the real adventure of living on a boat in tropical areas can be experienced and you get to see so much more.
Thanks Kunta and don't forget "Immer eine Handbreite Wasser unterm Kiel ;)"

We went on a three night expedition on the Dreamcatcher catamaran with Kunta and Ray from Samui Ocean Sports. We have sailed before with them to the Anthong Marine Reserve which was also fantastic. This time we visited Ko Tao and Ko Phangan. The difference with this company is that they are expert sailors. Whenever it is possible the sails are up and the engines off which gives you the wonderful experience of only hearing the waves. There are comfortable bean bags to relax in and watch the World go by. The boat is great. There are cabins, a shower, toilet etc. We chose to have sleeping bags on the nets and to go to sleep watching the stars and wake to the sunrise. We stayed in beautiful bays and visited lovely beach restaurants in the evenings. The snorkelling was amazing and we saw so many beautiful fish, rays and turtles. There are also paddle boards to use. I cannot recommend these trips enough. They are the best experience I have had on holiday and I’ve travelled all over the World. Kunta is excellent company and so knowledgeable. He knows all the best beaches, snorkelling areas and places to eat. Don’t think about it. Just book!

I had a 4 day/3 night sailing experience with Kunta and his wonderful crew. We sailed to the islands of Koh Phangan on the western shore (the most beautiful) and Koh Tao. It was a good mix of relaxing and adventure. When the sun was shining we did snorkelling and walking to waterfalls, and when it rained we relaxed in the cabin reading and playing cards. We ate at various restaurants along the way, usually with our feet in the sand, did some self-catering, and the staff cooked great meal for us too. It is a true sailing experience, the yacht I was on is a classic and it was a joy to sail on her. The best part was to see my 16 year old son put down his phone for a few days, can’t wait to do it all over again.

Wonderful sailing trip to Koh Phangan! If you are looking for a REAL sailing experience, look no further. Even though the wind was not very strong on our day, the captain did a great job. I've been on other trips before where in similar situations the would just use motor. The lunch and the view from the restaurant on the rocks in Koh Phangan alone is worth this trip! Highly recommend it!!!

Very good, hes a very nice guy and showed us all the best places. We ate the best food and swam in the sea, snorkeled in coral reefs and swam in waterfalls. We stayed on the smallest boat for 2 days but could have happily stayed for longer. Highly recommend, it was a 10/10 experience.

Our family of four (two teenage boys, 13&16) really enjoyed the day sailing around Ko Samui and over to Ko Pha Ngan with Gunther and his crew. We chose to sail on the catamaran rather than the conventional mono-hull. The cat has lots of space and we were free to move about on the trampoline and the hulls. The boat is special as it has a single mast on each hull providing extra speed and leaving the trampoline clear. None of us are sailors but this was a great introduction.
After arriving at Ko Pha Ngan we had an hour swimming and snorkelling in a secluded bay before moving on to lunch at a great hill-top restaurant (all included in the package). The food was lovely, but some people may find one or two dishes a little too spicy.
All-in-all the experience was fantastic and memorable, we would thoroughly recommend it.
Two practical suggestions, wear shoes for the walk up to the restaurant and don't forget suncream & long sleeve shirts!

After much research before leaving for Thailand II contacted Kunta from Samui ocean sports and booked a sunset cruise on the beautiful 33 foot Dreamcatcher catamaran. . We were collected directly from our hotel beach at 4.30pm.
Dreamcatcher is a spacious well maintained catamaran and the four of us had so much room to relax and sunbathe and enjoy the views as well as plenty of shade if required.
Kunta was very professional, informative and friendly and we sailed along the coast and back to the hotel after sunset. All drinks (wine, beers and soft drinks) and snacks were included in the trip and we were all so impressed that we booked a full days sailing for a few days later. (10% discount is offered on second trips)
On our second trip we had an absolutely excellent and very memorable day. We were again picked up from our hotel beach promptly at 9.30 a.m. My husband is interested in sailing and Kunta was very helpful and gave him loads of advice and practical tips. We sailed with spinnaker to Koh Phangan and were able to snorkel and swim from a beautiful almost deserted beach.
We then continued on to another lovely beach and we were taken to the most beautiful restaurant for lunch- this was included in the price of the trip as were all the drinks and snacks throughout the day. We had a wonderful food and the restaurant was unique and in a spectacular location overlooking the sea. Kunta was an outstanding host.
After lunch we were taken to another beautiful bay with excellent snorkelling and swimming before we sailed back to our hotel arriving back at 5.30 p.m.
We can totally recommend Kunta and Dreamcatcher for a.superb and memorable day out. The prices of our trips were very reasonable especially considering there were just 4 of us on our private charters. Dreamcatcher can take many more guests on board and can cater for overnight sailing to sail further distances as it has 3 good sized berths, shower and toilet. There is a video of Dreamcatcher on You Tube and we had watched this before travelling out to Thailand. Kunta also has a smaller catamaran (Crazy Horse) for charter and it is well worth looking on the website as I did to decide the size of boat etc to charter.
Thank you Kunta for giving us so many precious memories!

kunta took our group of four (two adults, two teenagers) on a 1/2 day catamaran trip from big buddha beach to chaweng beach,
stopping for swimming and lunch at a tiny island. his intelligence
and calm manner were a delight. when we were serene and
quiet, so was he. when we were curious about the islands,
the thai culture, what else to do and see while there - he offered
great suggestions and insight. it was an incredibly peaceful and beautiful ride and an inexpensive way to explore koh samui and the surrounding islands by water.

Today we went on the sailing boat. We booked it for 2 people. 8000THB. Pick up at the Hotel, than drop pff on the beach and the driver said just walk to that boat and tell them your Hotel. there were 2 Boats there. So we were confused. The skipper though was really nice and tried to do everything and make us feel comfy. After 15 min we left the island the wind was a bit strong for our feeling and the boat was turning sidewards so much that w got scared. We were thinking should we go to Koh Pahngan or not. We decided to go back cause beeing scared and not enjoying is not the point. Fine. After we called the owner, German guy, his first reaction was: If you cancell you can not punish us for your decission and we have to charge you full price. There is no other way. So his point was to get his money and not his clients to have fun or feel comfy. Anyway we arrived back in the pier. He told us again: The boat is really safe you know. we have good skippers and there is no point to worry. Where is the voucher of your Hotel? I told him they didnt give us a voucher. But how you pay he asked? Did you make a deposit? After all this questions about money i told him: Sir, there is a difference between enjoying an activity or not. Even if you say the boat is safe if we are not having fun and feel scared, nomatter if its safe or not, you should understand. Yes but we still have to charge you full! The titanic was also safe but sank at the end.
My point was not that we had to pay. My point was that he didnt care about his customers if they enjoy or not. So all in all i reccomend you try another company who appriciate more your business than money fixed people. The boat was damn dirty inside and the skipper was appologizing that he hadnt had time to clean.

the day this occured was a good day to go sailing as we had all our boats in action and returned with happy customers accept this client! the skipper and myself as the manager were very surprised that the clients wanted to return after a short while because they were scared beeing on a sailing yacht which by nature tipps to one side when the wind blows into the sails.
The skipper as myself tryed repeatadly to explain that this is normal on a sailing yacht as its part of the sport and that there is nothing to worry about. The clients still decided to brake up the day and it is our duty to explain first hand on the spot to explain that we respect his decition but have to charge for the day so no complications accure afterwords about payment!
we are sorry if this clients read this as a sign of "money talk" , we just have to be clear that the clients understand the conditions and consequences involved! If weather conditions would be too heavy to go out we always give people the opertunity to pospone to another day or return there payment!

In order to celebrate my fathers 70th birthday we chartered "Dreamcatcher" for a two days sailing trip from Koh Samui to Koh Pangang. The crew, Kunta (owner) and Bobbi (skipper) were the most responsible and attentive hosts you can amagine - taking care of 15 people from the age of 2 to 70. The sailing was spectacular and everyone enjojed themselves tremendously. After a lovely lunch at an amazing restaurant on the one side of Koh Pangang, we went into the most incredible weather, with a color scheme we've never seen before. The water was extremely green, the sky changed from bright blue to dark gray and the horizon was bright turquoise. We realized that we would hit some rain, but it was just fun. It felt like we were sailing through a bright gray tunnel - and that was when we saw turtles and flying fish around the boat. What an adventure! We spent the night in lovely, traditional Thai bungalows at a fantastic and relaxing place called Dreamland - where the birthday dinner was held, family and friends seated together around a beatuiful decorated long table on the beach where we all enjoyed lovely seafood. The sailing trip was absolutely the highlight of both the birthday celebration and our holiday overall. A big THANK YOU to Kunta and his crew for making my fathers 70th birthday so fantastic and memorable!

Hi we are visiting Koh Samui between the 2nd and 6th of September and would like to charter your boat. There are four of us and we would like to visit the marine park, the emerald lake etc. We would like a full day if possible.
Many thanks
Jan

hi Jan, the distance from samui to the Marine Park is too far for a day sail! on day charters we sail to the neighboring island of Ko Phangan! we would be happy to take your group there, stop at scenic bays for swimming, snorkeling, explore the beaches and have a lunch in a very nice beach restaurant!
if you are only interested in the Marine Park you have to take a speed boat, the cost for this is 30,000 Baht! please send us a email on our website for further questions and conversations!
