Really small, one specimen of butterfly. The most butterflies are dead! Expensive compared to other parks

Enjoy and mesmerizing the beautiful scenery of mother’s nature of the butterfly farm. With all kinds of beautiful colors of butterfly and fresh air of the farm, one could enjoy the sunny day along this area. Beautiful greenery and magnificent view of the farm with its nature ☺️☺️☺️

If you have never been to a butterfly farm you can probably go there...

... but if you have being to other butterfly places already it's not worth the time and money.

Die selection of butterflies is very very low. Additionally it's very small and expensive.

The entrance looks amazing. Other than that, you get one room with butterflies, and behind that point only empty gardens that seem to be abandoned.

Good time, short time

Although it was long ride, I did enjoy the ride itself and being in this small garden.

The place is small and you can extend your stay by feeding the fishes outside, enjoying your free water or just hanging out and looking at the trees.

Fees are small and the garden is small too.

We are staying at the Centara Villas Samui. The manager of our hotel said the Butterfly Farm opposite has closed down. So please do not make the trip out here.

Enjoyable experience with twin toddlers

We drove to the Butterfly Garden (about 45minutes from where we are staying), with our 20month old twins.

We stayed for about 30mins and the kids had a great time exploring and finding butterflies.

The twins were free. Adults were 300baht and included a free water from the cafe.

I read some of the other reviews before we went. I’m not actually sure what people expected, but we had an enjoyable visit.

Boring garden, lots of cobwebs, few butterflies to see...
Jul 2017
Disappointing trip to The Butterfly Hill Garden@Samui, Amphoe, Surat Thani. A place that take you off beaten track into the hillside jungle. Hired a private car for 2 hours, arrival there in morning hoping to spend some time to see as many butterflies and other insects as possible. We ended the visit in less than an hour. There are not many species of butterflies or colorful ones to see except plenty of creepy insects, lizards, millipedes on ground.
Plenty of mosquitoes and cobwebs across footpaths posed danger and nuisance to visitors in garden. A garden that is not well maintained. The exhibition room which showcase more than 3000 insects along with rare scientific information was worth reading only.
A small man made mini waterfall, decors add some colors and layout to garden landscape. There is a souvenir shop, restaurant and recreation area just next to garden. Visitors entrance fee, 300 bahts for adult is rather expensive as there are not many exhibits and butterflies to see!!

Should really take down the road signs around the island as it has been closed for 6 months

drove all the way from chaweng on mopeds got into what we thought was the ticket office as the sign out the front had butterfly garden and the opening hours. It being such a hot day we got in and they had a little bar fridge selling beer and soft drink we all bought a beer and then asked for tickets for each of us for her to tell us it is closed permenently.

Still confused as to why there is an office operating making money off the drinks fridge haha we sneaked up around the back and could see the overgrown entrance snapped a picture and onto the waterfall which was great to see exisisted!
