This has been a very interesting trip, made even more interesting by the guys from "100 degrees east" who circled the island on a speed boat. We also got to the view point, located well above the sea level, giving a superb view over the islands and lake !

I went to Ang Thong with two friends with one of the boat day trips. However we brought our backpacks and agreed with the crew that they would pick us up the next day and get us back to Samui. This was booked from one of the numerous travel agencies. During the boat trip we experienced the crowds of people... More

These islands near Koh Samui are beautiful and it's just like you are in a James Bond movie. We did some snorkelling and had lunch on one of the islands. Very pretty

Beautiful beaches and scenery, great for snorkeling. They told us that camping was also possible in some islands.

Firstly Id like to say that Angthong is beautiful and you should definetly visit it. However you do not want to book your trip with high sea tours, you can find there brochure in many hotel lobbies (see picture). The boat was crap, rusty, slow, and had too many people booked. They were also VERY un-organized. It took us almost... More

Even by speedboat it takes an hour to get to the park but we all agreed it was worth it just to see the Emerald Lake. It is truly spectacular and gives great photo opportunities not only of the lake but looking out toward the islands as well. If you plan the trip because you want to snorkel in August... More

Must go!! It gives you a fun filled activity day!! Try the kayaking and snorkelling!! Must visit the lagoon too! The view is fantastic! Take the package that would be there in the brochure. They take care of everything.

This national park is not so easy to get to from the mainland, you need to go to Koh Samui first and take a day-trip boat and stay behind. Return needs to be discussed with the boat operator as to join a daytrip on another day for the return. Lodging needs to be booked with the government office which handles... More
