Good for beach walking, so so for swimming. Many good restaurants on the beach. Several ferries here to take you to other islands. Many people wLk their dogs on this friendly beach.

We had a quiet walk on this beach. It was at high tide which is not recommended. Otherwise, we would suggest it.

Catching the view of Koh Phangan on a good day at this beach is one great experience when you're around Bang Por. If not for the ultra peaceful beaches and several restaurants and cafes lined along there, there wouldn't be much to do here- something that makes it so charming about this area. The beach itself is clean, but like Maenam, expect the sand to be a little large and rough- but nothing terrible there. The viewpoint, I'd say, is one of the most picturesque spots on the island and one of the spots to be for incredible sunset.

I’ve been to Lamai, Chaweng and Bang Po - Bang Po really stood out for me compared to the others. Both Chaweng and Lamai are very touristy, the sand colour is yellow. Bang Po is far quieter, less touristy, more secluded and the sand is whiter. The ocean colour is teal and the water is very warm with no waves

Loved this place! The very end of the beach has some small shacks and is called “Relax@Samui”. Very apt name! Beautiful beaches still unspoiled by development with two small beachfront restaurants, massage facilities (which I did not use), water front tables, beach chaise lounges and absolutely NO pressure to do anything but.....

Relax, relax, relax.....

I traveled from crazy party town Chaweng Beach to get here three times in five days! Have a beer, sit in a chaise lounge, wade in the Adaman Sea, watch the sunset and have a good Thai meal.

Can not think of a better way to spend the afternoon!

Located in one of the quietest places on the island ,Bang Por beach is a long stretch of beautiful sandy beach with the waters gently lapping ashore and restaurants and bars opening directly onto the sands. Quite often we would be out for a walk and just pop to one of many places for a drink, a snack or meal. It is quite the passing parade of people out for a stroll, especially late evening when you can also watch the spectacular sunsets.

We happened on this beach today and was blown away by its beauty and simplicity. The restaurants are simple and traditional and the view is breathtaking. There was only a handful of people there so felt like our own beach! Would highly recommend you put this one on your list of places to visit in Samui

About a 3 km stretch of beach, lovely to walk on. Not the greatest swimming beach, it’s shallow and many patches are rocky, but at high tide good enough to wallow in. Lots over terrific restaurants and quiet massage places as well as many options to rent accommodation on the beachfront. Great for families.

Bang Po is also a popular fishing town, so the area boasts some of the best seafood restaurants on the island. Enjoy some delicious authentic Thai dishes at these great restaurants. The calm shallow waters in this part of the Gulf of Thailand offer excellent snorkeling opportunities with shallow coral reefs and many colorful fish.
