Rinda came and pick me up at my hotel in the morning. From the start she was really welcoming and friendly. I was lucky that it was a quite day, and I was the only one to have booked a course that day. We first went to a local market where Rinda handed me over a list with words and their Thai translation, so I could order the food myself. We than proceeded to the school. The school itself by Thai norms, is ultra modern and super clean. I had an amazing cooking class cooking dishes like vegetable noodles and traditional Pad Thai. I would definetely recommend this tour for someone who doesn't want to spend a whole day but just a couple of hours. In my opinion Rinda will teach you even more than the full day courses around Chiang Mai!

Nimman Thai Cooking School is a great option if you're looking for a convenient, clean, good quality half-day experience.

Chiang Mai cooking schools come in 2 varieties: either you go out to a farm all day, or stick to the city. This is of the in-city variety, so the drive there (Rinda picks you up from your hotel in a nice AC car) is short and you can choose from 9am-2pm sessions or evening ones. Also, it is in the fashionable Nimman neighbourhood so you can take advantage of that and walk around before or after if you want.

The experience is well documented in other reviews, but I'll add that it was spotless, had a clean AC-bathroom and classes are quite small compared to some other schools (my lady and I had our lesson with just one other person during low season, which was great). It has modern amenities like a phone charging station and a "photo booth" for your food.

Highly recommended.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Nimman Thai Cooking School. Rinda was welcoming, kind and generous with her cooking knowledge. She catered well to the different cooking abilities in the class, and the small class size helped with that too. Rinda also speaks excellent English.

We appreciated the clean and well stocked cooking area, personal attention and delicious food! We are looking forward to coming back with friends soon.

If you are looking for a great value cooking school in Nimman - or anywhere in Chiang Mai - this is the place to visit. It was easy to book and pay the deposit online.

We liked that the school was in walking distance to our accommodation and didn't require a full day out of our travel schedule. We cooked five dishes in four hours - a very manageable and comfortable pace. Our favourite dish was the chicken in coconut soup!

Thank you Rinda!

Set in the heart of Nimman so very handy. A thoroughly enjoyable morning, started with a trip to the market to get the ingredients then back to prepare and cook. Grilled beef salad, Paneng Curry, Tom Kha and finished with a delicious sticky rice and Thai custard. The kitchen is well laid out, very clean and the staff are lovely and passionate, Linda speaks perfect English. Highly recommended as part of a trip ti Chiang Mai.

Best Pad Thai I've ever had, and now I know how to make it myself! Highly recommended if you're in Chiang Mai.

I'm not an experienced cook so I really enjoyed going to market, making my own curry paste, and generally getting better at the basics for things like fried rice and cooking with coconut. Also, we ate constantly through class, which isn't such a bad thing. Just be sure to come hungry.

My girlfriend and I researched many cook classes while were in Chiang Mai. We wanted to make sure it was a small enough class so that we could really learn from the instructor... Nimman was perfect, there were only 4 of us in the class and it looks like there's typically 4 - 8 people per class which is perfect.

Our instructor was great, extremely knowledgeable about the local ingredients, markets and of course cooking Thai cuisine. I still can't believe I made Thai food that tasted great!

We are a couple and we decided to take a cooking class.
It was great experience (don't eat before).
We have done 6 dishes and visit the market.
The teacher and the place is great.
Clean organized and she speaks good English.
We recommend that if you look something to do for few hours.
Maybe it's better to do the afternoon class because you eat a lot.

We learned so much today! Rinda picked us up from our apartment, and took us right to the market to shop for supplies and practice some basic Thai speaking. I can't say I am much of a cook, but she is such a great teacher that I loved every minute of the next several hours. She explained every step well, had a great sense of humor, and made us feel welcome. The outcomes were beautiful, delicious dishes and a whole new appreciation of Thai culinary wizardry. The school is spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable in every way. Great fun! Be sure to make this a part of your visit to Chiang Mai!
