We visited this wonderful village for my son’s 5th birthday, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Something my son will remember his WHOLE life (and so well done- the elephants being ethically cared for and it felt like we were visiting old friends!). The village children all gathered after dinner to celebrate my son’s birthday (with a cake the village had purchased to bring for my son!!!) and every child had a small piece of cake with him. My son was ecstatic. It set the bar so high for his other birthdays (which, sadly, I’ll never be able to beat!). They also emailed us the most wonderful photographs after our visit that we treasure to this day. We will be back as soon as possible, hoping to find a way to visit for longer this time. If you have a chance to visit them, do not skip this opportunity!

Myself and my girlfriend visited here back In February 2020. We can both say that this is a life changing experience. The Karen tribe clearly love and care about their elephants so much. We never felt like we were an inconvenience to the people or the elephants and loved washing and feeding the elephants, particularly Puchan and baby David! Words really can't sum up what a phenomenal experience this is, it's nothing like the other 'sanctuaries' around Chinang Mai, these are cared for and loved animals whom are part and parcel of village life. If you only do one activity in Thailand make it this!

As our family of 7 (ages 7 - 75) reflects on our day in Dec 2019 with the Karen Tribe, we unanimously agree it was the best and most memorable day of our Thailand trip! We loved the people and how they care for the elephants. The experience with the elephants was educational and fun, and we left with a deep appreciation and better understanding of the Karen culture and elephant care! I highly recommend this special day with the Karen Tribe and Elephant Tour. It will be an unbeatable day and experience you and your kids will ALWAYS remember and cherish!

My family of 2 adults and 2 children under 10 stayed overnight with Sun, Jiraphon and their extended family. It was the most amazing holiday experience of our lives! The elephant experience was incredible. Everything the other reviews state is true. The animals are part of the family and the additional experience of staying after the daytrippers go home is worth its weight in gold. The accommodation is so comfortable, clean and welcoming. The food is probably some of the best we've eaten including the dung beetles we went searching find the night. Learning to weave and my husband preparing dinner were just such wonderful life experiences. This is an unforgettable experience and we would be blessed to visit again. Please give your support and business to this wonderful community!

A flat out phenomenal experience. Want to see what positive reinforcement training looks like on a baby elephant? Visit them. Want to see a whole herd of happy elephants? Visit them. Love elephants and want to have an amazing bucket list experience? Visit them. You get the picture. When I began researching the seemingly unlimited elephant options in Thailand, my criteria was simple: 1. Excellent care and ethical treatment of elephants. 2. Money supports the local community. This exceeded my highest hopes on both accounts. The love they have for their elephants is so genuine and it shows in everything they do. I felt lucky to have a little window into the bond they shared. ♥️ I was also enormously pleased to keep my baht local by supporting Thai elephant caretakers in Thailand rather than foreign backed interests. (I'll take a hard pass on the neocolonialism thankyouverymuch!) Thanks again to Sun and his group for one of the best animal experiences we have ever had.
