A unique experience! Many thanks to Kid and his team for this great day and the fantastic impressions.
You can tell straight away that they all do it because they love animals. Of course they need the tourists to earn money for feed and medicine for the elephants. The elephants are doing very well here, which was particularly important to me. Kid is a great tour guide, he speaks very good english and explains everything calmly. I can only recommend everyone to come here. You won't be disappointed and you'll do something good for the elephants too!

The most ethical rescue park in Chiang Mai! I’ve been to a few ‘sanctuaries’ but these elephants are actually rescues from circuses, elephant riding and logging. You can feed them medicine, get up and close walking trails with them and just observing them in the wild mountains, then finishing taking a bath and exfoliating their skin! Keepers and vets are so so knowledgable and love their elephants so much. Highly recommend!!!

They take donations too to help them out during the pandemic. One of the few parks that run everyday as a non-profit regardless of tourism because they love looking after these beautiful creates (ps. Food was great and they have vegan options ;))

Thanks. Your review is very good feedback for us. As you saw how we took care of elephants,it is our real life to provide good things to them. Operating the tour is the best way for us to earn money to support them even during the virus pandemic. We appreciated your kind support. Regards, Mr.Kid and ERPK team

wow, what a great and unforgettable experience! the camp is based close to the street, not a lot of traffic, easy to reach, calm and in a wonderful small valley, right on a small river with some funny looking water buffalos too … welcome to nature and welcome to relax! we have spent the „over-night“ programm and can really recommend it! learned a lot about elephants, their lives, their behaviour and their way of feeling. the only worry we have is to see this huge amount of plants these lovely creatures will eat every day 😆… many thanks to Mr. Kid and his team for the great job they do and so much love they give their pets!

Special thanks to you both for spending time with our elephants in the mountain as the first group in that spot. We have done our job as routine so it was not too hard for us to walk up mountain everyday. We hope that the tour of 2 days 1 night is the great experience for you. Your kind cooperation is appreciated by our team as well. We promise to try our best to take care of them. Hope to see you again in the future. Best regards, Mr.Kid and ERPK team

Fantastic day. I was travelling solo and booked direct online through their website. I booked their one day package which I would recommend. I understand you can do a half day with the elephants and half day at a waterfall but would recommend the full day with the elephants to immerse yourself and not to rush.
You are collected around 8.30 am from hotel.
First of all you are taken to poopoopaper which is a place where paper is made from elephant dung. You have the opportunity to make it yourself.
From here I ended up going to Tiger kingdom as the guide can alter the tour slightly if you want. It is next door to poopoopaper so bring extra if you want this experience aswell. 750 baht - 900 if you want them to take photos on their camera. although they will use your phone and you can take pics/videos too. It is very different experience to the haven of the elephants but is still good to get up close to the tigers in the cage with them.
We then went to the rescue park. Because of COVID and tourism numbers still being low I had this tour all to myself. But let me say once you are here it is amazing. You get to chop down the food for the elephants with the machete. You get to make the food/feed the elephants/walk with the elephants and bathe/swim. I have done other tours/sanctuary’s/parks and this one is miles better than the others.
They care so much!!!
The guide speaks great English and will enlighten you about the elephants and park history. He even taught me some Thai and I taught him some English words he had never heard of.
Best day.
Book it.

An amazing opportunity to see true caring for elephants in Chiang Mai. I have visited other elephant caring tours and this one was by far the best. The elephants were treated very kindly through the whole experience. We started with a short feeding season and then we all sauntered together with the elephants through the lovely forest. Followed by an elephant bath session.
I visited with my parents who are both older and Kid (the guide) was lovely. He provided a shortcut for my parents and took us separately from the whole group so all could enjoy at their own speed. If you are looking for a family friendly, couples or solo elephant loving adventure Elephant Rescue Park is your place.

We visited the park, towards the end of December. Our only regret, is that we did not book a full day, or an overnight tour. The staff were amazing. From the moment, that we were picked up to the moment that we left. The staff were exceptional. We received a short history of the park and it’s elephants; as well as the struggles, and dangers to the elephants. The owner was very passionate about the park and the elephants, and we could very easily tell that they cared greatly. Afterwards we changed into the excellent park clothes; and were off to interact with the elephants. I cannot stress enough how awesome the elephants were. We had a great time walking with them, feeding them and learning all sorts of things about their unique personalities. We washed the elephants in the elephant pond; and I can honestly say that, I never thought one day I would be washing an elephant. Although I am extremely happy that I did. Everything, that we saw and did showed us that the park cares, about its elephants and treats them with nothing but love. If you are looking for a place, that is animal friendly, and really aids the elephants; then look no further and book this trip it is absolutely worth it! The owner was exceptionally forthcoming, and explained in great detail everything that we asked. Finally the day ended with a wonderful home cooked meal. COVID 19 has made life very difficult for this wonderful place. So please if you get the opportunity to go and visit do so without hesitation.

Thank you! To all the staff that were with us that day ;) we are already looking forward to returning! And already miss the elephants;(
