About
Aromdii in Thai means good mood (similar to happy or smile), and we name this cooking school because it is normal Thai's mood. We open this school because we love to cook and love to share our food with everyone we know. In the same time, we would like to warm welcome you to Thailand by Thai food creating by yourself. We offer you small class to give you more personal. Most of ingredients using are fresh then you can feel lots of flavorful of each meal because there are more than one taste in each Thai dish. Our school is located outside the old Chiangmai city (10 minutes from old center city) then surely not lots of noisy to disturb you while you're cooking. The kitchen is outside with fresh air and nice neighborhood so you can see how local Thai people spend their traditional of life too. Cooking could be the great souvenir from Thailand that you can bring back home to surprise your friends and your family.

We just got back from our afternoon and evening with Aromdii cooking school and couldn’t wait to write a review. Which, by the way, I seldom do. It was that good. They picked up our family of 5 at our hotel at 3:30 and we went straight to the market to shop for fresh ingredients, accompanied by clear instruction and just the right amount of info about the products. Then we headed back to the van for the 10 minute drive to this open air, in home small and perfect cooking school. Our kids are 11, 15 and 17 with varying interests in cooking and all three absolutely loves it. It’s a 4 course meal with 4 choices per course. You prep together and cook together with super clear, fun instruction. The best part is that you prepare a course, then eat that course so you’re not sitting for one long meal. Would recommend the Aromdii team and this culinary experience to anyone visiting Chiang Mai in a heart beat! Hopefully we’ll be back!

After going to the market place we get to select our menu for which we did our shopping. After this we start preparing our 4 dish course to understand the secrets of the Thai cuisine. Lively food, which we also got to eat. A must go to!

Amazing morning with my teenage daughter

I cannot recommend this class enough! Aek was so communicative from the moment I booked the class. He goes above and beyond to explain the ingredients at the market, instruct as you cook, and keep you laughing the entire time! We even got to meet his beautiful family and look forward to trying these recipes at home to remember our time in Thailand! The amount of food was more than we could eat and tasted AMAZING! Thank you Aek for an incredible morning!

Thoroughly enjoyable experience! Nok and Aek are incredibly friendly and knowledgable. I had a great afternoon getting to know them whilst also learning a great deal about Thai cooking.

AMAZING experience from start to finish! I did a lot of research on which cooking school to go to in my short trip to Chiang Mai and am so happy we went with Aromdii! Aek and Nok are so sweet and their home/the school is well set up and very nicely decorated. Aek picked us up from our AirBnB then took us on a short and insightful tour at the local market. Our afternoon session had a group of 8 and each of us got to choose our own 5 course meals. I went with pad thai, hot and sour prawn soup, papaya salad, green curry, and mango sticky rice. Each dish was delicious - my favourite was the green curry because I felt accomplished making it from scratch! You can choose your spice level with each one and Aek thoughtfully guided us individually even when we had different dishes going on at the same time. To top it all off, they even provided a recipe book at the end! I can’t wait to recreate these dishes at home. Highly recommend!

My husband and I and 4 kids did the evening cooking class during our recent to Chiang Mai. It was one of the highlights of our trip! My kids got really involved in the prep and were so proud of the dishes they made. I can’t believe that let each person in the group select their own personalized menu- that was amazing. The food was delicious and we learned a lot. Highly recommend. Come hungry as we made a lot of food!

My husband and eldest daughter had a fantastic morning.The whole experience was perfect.The hotel pick up worked perfectly ,the market shopping was fun and the actual cooking was informative and enjoyable in a small group with everyone with their own equipment and hob.They also ate loads and brought food home for the rest of the family! They couldn’t recommend it highly enough and came back full of excitement and determination to replicate it back in the UK

I had an amazing experience at the cooking school (their home). Im a solo traveller and was pair up with another person for a morning-class. Aag and Nok was very friendly and good teachers. There's no way this class could be any better, I can't find any thing that could've been improved. Thus, it was perfect :) Don't eat before!

We spent the day here cooking with Aek and his wife. This family run cooking course is absolutely brilliant. We were made to feel at home and part of the family as soon as we got there. It was amazing that Aek could enable us to recreate some amazing Thai dishes that tasted amazing. There was too much food to cook and eat so we ended up taking some home for evening meals! At the end of the class you get a recipe book so that you can create these dishes back home; although without the aid of Aek I'm not sure how successful we'll be! Thanks for hosting us Aek!

Hi there!
So sorry for the lately respond and we open on Saturday too!
Transportation is included but we do not pick up someone who stay on Wualai Road because of Walking Street (it's on every Saturday night starting from 3.00-10.00)
