I didn't know much about elephant or which one to choose, so my host booked a full-day tour for me. I loved it. First of all, our group was just 3 people, which gave a feeling of a semi-private tour compared to other bigger groups...More
They need to do a better job at promoting on here and not only on facebook. But my friends and I had a great time at chiang Mai elephant sanctuary. The elephants really loved the workers, which is an amazing sign to me that they...More
The morning was a bit of a mix. The bamboo rafting was super cool but the trek through the "jungle" was basically a two mile hike through a neighborhood and another 2 miles through a hot wooded trail. We thought that the hike was with...More

The day starts with a drive of about 2h then we went bamboo rafting which was fun, then trekking in a slippery jungle for about an hour until a waterfall where we...More
You get picked up and taken about 1.5-2 hours up into the jungle to the elephants, if you get travel sick you may want to take your travel sickness medication as the roads are steep, windy & bumpy.

I did the full day here where the morning was spent feeding, playing in the mud and washing the elephants in the river and then walking to a lovely waterfall. After lunch we went for a hike through the village (reasonably easy but uphill) which...More

Hi esprite725! we booked the day before from the hostel honestly ☺ there are a couple of cars going there with 8 pp each. maybe book it a couple of days before so you'd be sure to get it! there's the office in one of the street of the centre, you can see the big signboard. otherwise if you can't book with them, Chiang Mai is full of agency, maybe even a bit cheaper! enjoy the experience!
