We met Mr.O through airport taxi, on the way to our hotel, he suggested us to pay a visit to the elephant nature lover's park. Thought hesitant, we decided to give it a try due to the fact that Mr.O seemed like a very decent and honest person. Best decision ever lol. He taught us about Chiangmai, history of the elephants and Thai, and why sanctuary exists now. They live with the elephants with love and respect, and enables you to have a real connection with them. This is not a glorified trip to make yourself a saint, this is a trip to have a deep connection with the history, people, and elephants of Chiangmai. This trip was an experience of a lifetime, and I am certain that I supported locals and the elephants as well. Loved it all.

We booked this trip through our tour company and it did not disappoint. This park rescues animals which are abused and nurses them back to health. The handlers and employees are very caring with the animals. If you are coming thinking you will be riding an Elephant you are mistaken. While there you get to feed the Elephants and interact with them as most of them are very friendly. There are also water Buffalo on the reserve. You admission includes a buffet vegetarian lunch. It is well worth the visit to spend time with these wonderful animals.

this is an actual sanctuary which is helping ill-treated elephants (and cats, dogs, and a pig) build better lives for these beautiful creatures. BEWARE when going to different elephant parks, if the elephant is actually being treated properly. Lek is an amazing woman and has created a beautiful park for these elephants to live freely. I learnt so much about myself coming here. it really is a once in a lifetime experience

My husband and I had the incredible opportunity to interact and spend a day with "Mr. O," our wonderful guide, and the elephants at this beautiful park. This experience was the highlight to our two week vacation in Thailand. We learned how to interact with the elephants, feed them, bathe the elephants, and ultimately rode the elephants (in a very safe and no harm manner). This experience was intimate and only included my husband, Mr. O, and myself. During this day, we were also fed a WONDERFUL lunch overlooking the beautiful scenery. This park truly loves and respects the elephants and treats them well. This experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity to interact with incredible animals and is one I would recommend to anyone.
