Although Mesumi looks like Japanese-styled lovely boutique, Mesumi's boss comes from Taiwan instead. She is good at choosing nice fabric with special pattern. And it is not mass production but with limited quantity for each style. Considering the fabric and design, the price is very reasonable for Hongkongers. I believe most Asian girls will fall in love with Mesimu. Let me show a few lovely items there:

1) Classic A-line Dress: Both kids and adult size available. Although I seldom wear dress, it is really a good choice for causal party.

2) Hilltribe Bag: The fabric is sewed by hilltribe elderly. And it is designed and finished by boss's chiang mai friend. The craftsmanship is really good with details, e.g wodden button and nice lining fabric.

3) Hilltribe Scarf: The scarf is sewed by hilltribe women who is supported by NGO Warm Heart (www.warmheartworldwide.org). And the fabric is summery.

4) Lantern Pants: I love lantern pants but pattern is sometimes too hilltribe and not easy to wear when backing home. This one is more fashion. And the fabric is really light. Easy to mix and match in summer.

I'm so happy to have found Mesimu amongst 'dime a dozen' bulk made products in Thailand. Refreshing to find someone who is passionate about ethically made products and fairly paid staff, who obviously take pride in exquisite and unique items! I could easily have bought one of everything in this charming little store, especially the bags and silver jewellery! Indy, the store owner is staunchly committed to quality and ethics and I hope more people discover her store, it deserves all the success in the world!

Too bad the owner decided to close this shop. Went there today and simply fell in love with EVERYTHING I saw! The kids' clothing is reasonably priced if you take quality into consideration.

Lovely shop and owner. I visit this shop when I'm in Chiang Mai. The fabric used is high quality. Everything is hand made and designed and is importantly ethical. The clothing washes and lasts well. If you want unique quality purses, clothing, bags etc, you must visit. Kids clothes are also great.

The designs and the fabrics are so cute here! I had my eye on a purse for a week and it kept haunting me. I had to go back and get it. When I finally purchased the purse, I realized the owner of the shop had designed everything in the store and has everything hand made! Will go back for Christmas gifts for my family and friends!

As other reviewers stated, this is not a typical Chiang Mai shop. I read the reviews and decided to go there, and I’m so pleased I did. The craftsmanship is superior. I was astounded at the reasonable pricing considering the superior quality. Back home in LA these items would cost significantly more. The owner is genuine and so helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this quaint, lovely shop.

This shop is a very outstanding shop and made me feel like I were not in Chiang Mai. The kids dresses are so cute, unfortunately I have no daughter. The designs and fabric choices are really gorgeous, I notice that the quality of both product and fabric are way better than others, really different from other handicraft or similar product type of Chiang Mai.

Suddenly stumbled into this little shop and was surprised to find that the clothes and accessories it sells are outstanding. I did not have high expectation on the clothes that were sold in Thailand originally as all the clothes I saw were produced in bulk. However, Meisimu sells products with unique design and high quality. The children's clothes are especially cute with beautiful patterns. I bought two linen pants and a kid's shirt with cute little elephants pattern at last. The pants are very comfy and the design is simple but stylish. I am sure they cannot be found elsewhere. I also recommend the little coins bags and A-line dresses. The coins bags are designed in hilltribe style and the A-line dresses are ideal choices for smart-casual occasions. In a word, Mesimu is a shop that deserves more attention and visits!
