My English speaking guide picked me up at my hotel; we stopped on the way to pick up food at a local market, to be cooked for lunch on site. My 20 year old elephant-friend was gracious and always hungry, which is typical of elephants, who eat 10% of their body weight every day.

The elephant tour have many different type. The one we went is ride on the elephant and cross a river and up a small mountain. We saw some our tour is the elephants walk in the river all the way. The elephant is very nice but somehow feel that the elephants are being abused. The

This family-run business provides a loving environment for its 7 or 8 elephants. It is located about one hour from downtown Chiang Mai and offers a free shuttle. I elected to take the 2-day, 1-night excursion and had a great time. Shuttle picked me up promptly at 8:30AM on day

During a brief stay in Chiangmai spent the day at Maesa Elephant farm and had a fantastic time. One of my favorite experiences was riding an elephant through a nature trail. Everything about this day trip was exceptional.
