Chiang Mai is a good place for adventure tours. There are many things to do in Chiang Mai and the most popular activities are ziplining, ATV, elephant riding, bamboo rafting, and white water rafting. Also, there are many adventure companies out there for you to choose from. As a tourist like myself, I don't know any better. Finding the right travel agent who can give you a full tour information is also challenging. Lucky I found canopier x. They are not just a travel agency but adventure enthusiasts. They are fun loving people. Booking my tours with them was a good experience. I find it so hard to be able to communicate with some local travel desks as they don't speak good English. I am happy with the service and the tours they offer are only the from the best.

We chose the 2 day rafting program and enjoyed it very much. We had a great guide, good food on the trip and had the best environment we could possibly have. This is a must for every adventurer. BTW by using CanopierX we had the lowest price possible =)

I booked through this company for white-water rafting and was very exciting. I got an email back from Annie to confirm my booking and we were all set to go.
On the day the bus didn't come to pick us up and when our hotel contacted the company we found out that its a "agency" and we were never booked in. We didn't pay anything to this company and they charge more than the actual company so it wasn't that bad but really frustrating.
The company that does the tours is called 8 Adventures and they were more than amazing with getting back to us and arranging a tour. Don't book with Canopier X, you will be very disappointed.

Hello Amy. I've seen the review a long time ago but didn't have a chance to reply. Thank you for the feedback on tripadvisor so I can share with you the info here. I run the tours here locally in Chiang Mai and I do marketing and know most of the tours agencies in Chiang Mai. 8Adventures has a reputation of missing the bookings and some other services. In this case, yes I do have your reservations with Eric Southwick. I have the conversation of your booking via email with Eric. He takes tripadvisor review seriously and in this case he doesn't want a bad review on tripadvisor so he pushed it back at me.
