Exceptional experience with Asian Plus Travel. We spent nearly 2 weeks with a custom itinerary created just for us in Bangkok, Chiang Rai, Chiang Khong, and Chiang Mai. Excellent airport transfers and door to door service for all attractions with prompt and professional drivers. Their vans are new, spotlessly clean, air conditioned, and stocked with bottled waters, drinks and cooling towels. Our guides in northern Thailand were very knowledgeable, kind, and informative. It is obvious they love and respect their country. We appreciated the level of hospitality shown to us by welcoming our input and continually making sure all of our needs were met. We are so grateful to have utilized Asian Plus Travel. I highly recommend them for any of your Thailand travels!

We have used Asian plus Travel twice already and recommend it highly.
Bird and his crew are truly professional. I emailed Bird with my requests and nothing was too much trouble. He was prompt in his replies and very helpful, suggesting points of interest and putting together a very informative itinerary.
We were 8 people, so we had a private van.
Bird was very flexible and accommodating, he went above and beyond and his priority was our safety and made sure we were all happy at all times. ( He will even serenade you, from time to time)
We were first picked up by NUN his colleague, he was our guide in Chiang Mai, together with his driver Air. Very professional and great driver.Nun was also very knowledgeable, friendly and a real treasure.
On arrival in Chiang Rai we were greeted by Bird and his driver Mr. Lucky, a lovely young man with a gorgeous smile and incredible driving skills. He manoeuvred his way through mountains, hills and floods. We felt safe as he drove through the mountains in very narrow roads, through pelting rain and flooded roads, water reached the top of our wheels in his mini van, yet he kept his cool and kept on smiling.
Nothing was too much trouble,the van was spotless every morning, replenished with plenty of cold water and fresh cold towelettes. He was also always offering his hand helping us in and out of the van.
Bird is truly a gentleman and his dedication to his job and his clients is truly apparent. We felt that we have made a friend in Bird and I'm sure other people that use his services feel the same way, he is not just a tour guide, but someone you build a relationship with.
I would not hesitate to recommend him and his company. I will certainly will be contacting him again next time I visit Northern Thailand.
Thanks Bird and all the staff at Asian Plus Travel for making our holiday a memorable one.

I was recommended Asian Plus Travel by an Australian friend who has used them a few times. As I was travelling on my own I was keen to use a personal guide and have a bespoke tour. Well my guide, Bird (owner of Asian Plus Travel) could not have done more to make my holiday one of my most amazing and enjoyable holidays ever. His preparation and attention to detail was second to none. I was sent an itinerary well before I arrived so we could modify this if I wanted (which I did) He was a very knowledgable entertaining and friendly guide and someone who clearly cares about his clients and ensuring that they have the best experience possible. I was driven in a brand new Toyota car by Ben who was a very careful and safe driver and went out his way to help. Being local Bird knew the best places to eat (where the locals go) all of which were very inexpensive. I can’t give you a highlight of the trip as it was all so amazing. I think though the lasting feeling is now one of making new lasting friends and developing an understanding of the culture and people of Northern Thailand. Obviously a private bespoke tour is not the cheapest way to travel but I would highly recommend it as with Asian Plus Travel and Bird you get to see so much more, at your own pace and without being herded along like cattle in a large tour group so I the end it offers outstanding value for money and makes the whole experience so much more enriching.

Bird helped make our experience in Northern Thailand especially memorable. He and his team are thoroughly professional, and over and over they did the unexpected things that made the difference between a good trip and a great trip. For example: while everyone else at the elephant camp travelled the paths in long trains of elephants, Bird made sure we were there early to enjoy the forest alone, and then reserved front row seats for us at the show that followed; our trip in a small boat across the Mekong was accompanied with a song; and when I mentioned that I'd like some trousers made, Bird took me to a great tailor, not only for the initial fitting, but for the follow-up and final pick up. We would highly recommend Asian Plus travel, especially for LGBT travelers.

While the overall tour service is quite good, there was once moment that set our guide Bird apart from the others. My traveling companion left his debit card in an ATM machine, We discovered it about an hour later. Bird went to the local branch and arranged for a security officer and the manager to go to the ATM and open it so we could retrieve the card. This was an amazing "save" for what could have been a bit of a challenging trip. For this reason I would recommend booking with Asian Plus. Stellar.

I chose Asian Plus to organize 2 days of trips for us in the Chiang Mai area based on another favorable review on Trip Advisor. The other reviewer hit it right on the head! This tour group has a great website, you can sign up for numerous tours online and pay with a credit card. I was able to sign up just a couple of days ahead. They show up on time and found our remote resort to pick us up. Although we signed up for group tours, it was a slow month in Chiang Mai and our family of four in essence had private tours. Our tour guide, Benz, was knowledgeable and friendly. He speaks English. He got to know us and suggested other places for us to visit during our day. Our driver was also safe and friendly. All meals and admission fees are included. Their prices are reasonable considering all that you get. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Asian Plus to meet your touring needs. Be careful. We also contacted another tour group that was more expensive, took only cash, and wanted half the cash ahead of time before we even arrived in Chiang Mai! So Asian Plus was quite a relief after that experience.

As we have booked our day tour to Chiang Rai & Golden Triangle Private Tour at pretty late, we are surprised that we were given confirmation. One day prior to the trip, I gave a call to follow up and was confirmed that pick up would be at our hotel as promised. However, on the day of the pick up, the guide, Ne Ne, was waiting for us outside the hotel instead of the lobby which would have been easier to spot.
Other than this, she was attentive and ensured that my mother was looked after since she has a knee problem. The driver of the day was excellent ensuring that we are on schedule considering the long ride we had for the day. The guide also made slight changes to the flow of the trip so as to beat the crowd during this season.
Overall, we would strongly recommend this agency due to its personalized service and if there are not so pleasant experience it would be that as written in the itinerary, lunch would have been by the river but we ended up in a simple restaurant that catered to tourists which have expected a better choice.
Another aspect was that if I have not read from the review here, I would not have known there was an option to go to Laos via boat at our own expenses which Ne Ne did not highlight till we asked.
However, as this was a private tour, we are allowed to make longer/shorter stops at each location to cater to our needs which is very good.

We were introduced by a friend in Sydney, and when we met in Chiang Mai (bird) couldn't have been more helpful.
He arranged both of our trips, both reasonably priced and everything was perfect, comfortable car and we were well looked after.
Would recommend without hesitation.

Asian Plus Travel customized a tour for me, to get in everything I wanted while in Chaing Mai. They were attentive and were easy to change plans if we wanted to go somewhere different. And even suggested changes when things seemed to tight on time. They were timely and completed almost everything on my travel list. Our guild was a bit hesitant about doing a few things, and so we didn't get the greatest experience there (the only reason why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars) Their service getting around was really top notch and the cars they traveled in where all nice, one of them even brand new. The only down side is they are on the expensive side, so be prepared for the cost.

This is my second trip to Chiang Mai. I was here two years ago and used Asia Plus Travel with Bird and he took me on two different full day private tours. This trip I brought my elderly mother and Bird made the booking so easy. His prices are great compared to others. The car was nice and new. And he is a very informed guide who is super flexible with shorter or longer stops as well as customizing the day however you want. Nhai was our driver and was also excellent. Thanks Bird for another great trip! See you next trip too!
