One of the temples that is not on the top 3 list. But personally I found it one of the most interesting. The old wooden structure is something very different from the other temples. And the beautiful black pagoda is something special.

The temple is even attractive to me, the main temple made of timber and decored with colourful ceramic tiles. We came here to experience the monk ceremony at 17:30. Really incredible feel.

Just by Wat Chedi Luang this temple is a must see. I love the building and also the colors hanging inside the temple! Worth a visit

Fabulous Lanna-style teak temple, adjacent to the huge Wat Chedi Luang. This small temple offers a completely different experience. One of the best in Chiang Mai! Temple grounds also very interesting features.

Really interesting old temple apparently set up in honour of the teak trade, hence a mostly wooden structure. We were there on the Thai mothers (Queens) day so there were blue flags everywhere - very attractive!

Beautiful place. Notice the "double layer" roofs. These are distinctive of the Burmese architecture; you won't see those in Bangkok.

Richard Barrow een bekende fotojournalist schreef over deze tempel; "There's a good Flea Market at Wat Phan On in Chiang Mai every Friday. Some good quality & original products on sale.", iemand ooit deze markt bezocht?
