This was the best tour we did in Thailand. This was booked through a tour company that planned our 2 week trip. These small group tours we did with Touring Center were amazing. This Chiang Rai day trip was a long, adventurous day. We were with another family that went through the White Temple & Opium Museum pretty quickly, but our guide stayed with me and my husband and told us so many stories and information about what we were seeing. We like to go through slowly to learn everything. Awan or "Juan" was our guide and he was so funny. He offered to take lots of pictures of us which was awesome. He let us get our passports stamped in Laos and at the end of the day I accidentally left a souvenir on the shuttle bus. They came back and delivered it to me. I was shocked at that level of customer service. I didn't even realize I had forgotten it but they turned around and brought it back to my hotel. I highly recommend booking with this company!…

Booked tour through Viator with Touring Center. If we were to do this tour again, we would spend a couple of days in Chaing Ria rather than travel to / from Chaing Mia. It makes for a long day and the road is under construction so it is rough and slow going. Aside from that, it was an excellant tour. The guide spoke very good english, very understandable. The White temple is breath taking so the visit to golden triangle is anti climatic but well worth it to say we were there.…

During my Chiang Mai stay I really wanted to visit the attractions in the Chiang Rai area. Signed up for a 1500 baht day tour but ended up regretting it. Except for the White Temple, everything else that was part of the tour was not worth the 13 hour van ride, two hours of which were spent riding through road construction on bumpy, humpy roads. Had a bad lower back ache after that ride! The long neck exhibit, hot springs ( hot water bubbling up in the parking lot of a tourist trap with shops) and boat ride or visit to the Golden Triangle are not worth the effort and money. Find another way to get to Chiang RaI and avoid the usual tourist traps except for the White Temple..…

We had a very beautiful day. Punctual pick-up at our residence, spacious and clean jeep. Aei welcomed us warmly smiling. The day was full of discoveries in many ways, all explained in full knowledge of the facts. She made us notice and appreciate every little detail. She also took us to visit places outside the set schedule...highly recommended!…
